Pure Possibility At a time when some people see barren fields, I see possibility in this landscape. I love the way the golden earth carves a space against the canvas--those incredible Carolina Blue skies. And this land is quietly asking for a steward. It is an old Appalachian farm looking for a family to take good care of it. I wonder ....dol  you see what I see, and will that be  you?  ....

FEBRUARY - 2009 January and February are not the best months to evaluate the supply/inventory situation and define the number of months supply there is based on the sales so far for the new year, but, to have some idea of the health of the market, you must compare the current inventory to the number of sales that has taken place to project the actual number of months supply of homes. The repetitive question is: What is a Healthy Real Estate Market? That is not always an easy question to answer, but usually, inventory of unsold homes available should not equal more than a 5 to 7 month supply. Asking prices and inventory seem to set the theme. As we began the new year, it was obvious that Asheville was not experiencing a "healthy" market. In 2008, Asheville and Buncombe County were contin...

This month the SOLD prices decreased significantly from February 2008. ECO-FRIENDLY TOURS EXPLORE GREEN ASHEVILLE -- The way to go in Asheville in 2009 "This looks like fun! "  enthused the fourth-grader.  Mom and Dad and Grandparents, our real estate clients on their initial visit to the area and in search of land for a "family legacy", smiled. He was right. It was cute!  And, best of all, not only their energetic nine-year-oldwas ready to hop aboard, but the whole family. That welcoming little electric "limo" seemed to beckon everyone to take a tour of eco-friendly properties happening in urban Asheville, North Carolina. ( photo is of GEM courtesy of Gem Cars Of course that  was no secret to us. We already knew and had experienced just  how really adept the  "Wee Green Machine" - ( it is small, and it is Electric-see photo)  is at inviting visitors to ac...

Convenient to downtown Asheville, both shine like diamonds in the North Carolina sun. Though private, the lake has been a popular public spot since its creation in the early 1920s. Beaver Lake is located at a broad enough to embrace a sustainable  community, including the inviting lake itself and an 18-hole golf course .   All this is just two miles fr...
