I am finding myself in uncharted waters when it comes to closing a transaction right now.  Banks are giving buyers a harder time it seems.  Are you seeing it?  Hidden fees that you are not familiar with?It seems like everyone is having a harder time so therefore trying to make up deficient with additional fees.  I have just been wondering if it is the lenders, originators, attorneys, inspectors that I am working with or not.Share your thought with me please.Business is picking up right now.Ginger of Southport

You may already know how popular Calabash, NC, is among new retirees. Many people relocating somewhere south put their crosshairs on Calabash and never look back. That won’t come as any big surprise if you take a look at the available Calabash homes for sale and how affordable they are. People moving down from the north or the Midwest are thrilled to discover the cost of living in North Carolina is just so much less than where they were living and I don’t just mean the price of Calabash homes for sale either. Property taxes are less as is all the other expenses you would incur as a resident – utilities, food, clothing, entertainment, etc. That fact and the friendliness of the people in this area make it an all around appealing place to set down roots. The community is always holding loc...

Friday Funnies .. A surefire way to make you laugh   An Irishman and an Italian entered a candy store. As they were busy looking, the Irishman stole three chocolate bars.    As they left the store, the Irishman said to the Italian, "Man I'm the best thief.  I stole three chocolate bars and no one saw me.   You can't beat that." The Italian said, "You want to see something better? Let's go back to the shop and I'll show you real stealing."So they went to the counter and the Italian said to the shopkeeper, "Do you want to see magic?"The shopkeeper replied, "Yes."The Italian said "Give me one chocolate bar."   The shopkeeper gave him one, and he ate it.The Italian asked for a second bar, and he ate that as well. Then he asked for the third, and finished that one too.The shopkeeper asked, "B...

I do enjoy watching the ActiveRain points grow.  AS you continue to Blog, you see the points growing.  I have not learned all of the different ways to achieve the points but I am still learning. It is so much fun to see our points grow...from the beginning to what we have now. You can learn so much from your active rain associates. Many have really neat information that can give you a link or idea that you can then explore. I feel that I am not alone and that there are other Active rain folks just like me, needing new ideas or remembering the old tried and true systems that have worked for along time. Every day I learn something new from our AR Friends.. Most importantly to me, it the friendships that we are building.  I feel  connected with many of my ActiveRain friends..   I love th...

I must tell you that I am so excited about my "Get Healthy Challenge.  I have joined a Gym and I am working out for about an hour a day.  I am enjoying the rowing machine, the stationary bike and the treadmill.  Just to be up out of my chair and doing movement feels so very good.  I am super charged right now and I do hope that this does not wear off. My Goal is to climb a rope that is attached to the ceiling of the Gym.  It has big knots on it so that you have a place to hold on with your feet.  When I can do that, I will feel a great accomplishment.  Another goal is to be able to walk for 3 miles with out giving out.  I have no stamina right now at all. I want to do this for ME so that I can keep up with the Grandchildren..   Getting healthy in 2013 Ginger Of Southport

I was so looking forward to living in the mountains this summer and not having to deal with tenants moving in/out but it just wasn't meant to be.  I hate to see these tenants move...paid monthly rent early, kept the house spotless, and paid a service to maintain yards...very nice, quiet couple; however, I am happy for them.  He received a promotion and their only child was accepted at a prestigious graduate school in another state so they have given me plenty of notice so... 767 Marsh Rose Path  in Meadowlands Golf Community in Calabash, NC will be available in May for an annual lease, again.  The community is surrounded by three other golf courses and Ocean Isle Beach and Sunset Beach are just minutes away.  The home was built for my son so it has many, many upscale (expensive) feature...
