Thank goodness global warning is just a misguided scientific fairy tale because if it was really happening I can’t imagine what the temperature would have felt like. As it was, driving through Canton, NC today after showing a house and writing an offer, I glanced down at the thermometer to see it register 105 degrees. Incredible! Something is seriously off kilter when the mountains of Western North Carolina are hotter than Florida. This photo was taken last year when I burned off the dead wood on the property and now I have a pile twice as large. I had planned to take care of it this weekend, but frankly tending a fire in these temperatures just doesn’t seem like the best idea.   It’s no secret that I really love the personal side of real estate relationships. There’s no doubt that some days are better than others and today was one of those really good days. Sure, the weather was flawless and our “color season” is stunning. And yeah, I am very fortunate to work in real estate in this amazing area. But today was better for a different reason.
