REST IN PEACE QUEEN CHARLOTTE In case you hadn't heard, Charlotte's own beloved groundhog, Queen Charlotte, has passed away at the age of nine. Queen Charlotte served as an ambassador of her species since 2014, when her reign began, and as the Queen City's own predictor for winters. Queen Charlotte, the local Punxsutawney Phil, made her winter weather forecasts from the Discovery Place Nature Center in Freedom Park. Discovery Place Nature posted the following announcement on Facebook:  No announcement has been made as yet about a new Queen Charlotte.

www.ExecutiveRestoration.ComWhat kind of issues, do you see from the attached and above photo?Do you see Water Intrusion Issues?  Do you see Water Damage that has continued,  to enter the basement?  Correct the outside of the home from water issues and then I would suggest sealing the basement walls and floor.  Of course, before you do any sealing of walls and floors, make sure you clean, before you seal anything.Do you see Water Heater Issues?  The water heater, from the photo, has either not been maintained or it is very old.  How water heaters need to be drained and flushed, at least once a year.  Make sure you turn off the power to the hot water heater first, before you do any cleaning or flushing to it.  You can drain the water heater first by using a garden hose and getting the wa...

How many homes or buildings have you seen, that do not have gutters?  I see so many buildings and homes that do not have gutters.  This is not good.   The purpose of gutters is to divert the water from the roof and channel the water from the roof to downspouts and get the water away from the foundation of the home.  We do not want to have water dropping to the foundation of any home or building.  Homes without gutters and downspouts create water damage that drops to the foundation of the building and this can create water damage issues to the foundation of the home as well as attract Termites as well as create Mold Removal issues that you do not want or need.  Both of these issues cost money to correct.  Another thing that homes that do not have gutters create are soil erosion to the ya...

Dilworth Market Report - AUG 2022Charlotte NC - Dilworth envelopes residents and visitors with tree-lined streets, fronting beautiful, architecturally designed homes - many with wrap-around porches and mostly craftsman-style homes.  As well, quaint little shops and restaurants are all within walking distance to homes in Dilworth Charlotte NC.  Local merchants offer personal attention as well as an ambiance that is simply Dilworth’s trademark.  It is difficult to believe that anyone ever considered Dilworth a 'suburb' as they did in the late 1800's.    Take a tour and see why Dilworth is the choice among many Uptown young professionals, retirees and families who simply adore the 'neighborhood' feel of Dilworth.    *Dilworth residents enjoy Dilworth being home to Freedom Park - the larges...

Residents are out and about in the community, enjoying the warmer days and spending a lot of time at the community pool to stay cool! Imagine living in such a welcoming community, with their incredibly 'social' residents. This popular Steele Creek neighborhood is not only 'the place to be' but, it is also located in one of Charlotte’s most sought-after, growing areas. The HOA dues are also quite reasonable and, as I mentioned, the neighbors, exceptionally friendly! The convenient location in Steele Creek makes Creekshire the kind of community that many Charlotte home buyers want to call home. For those reasons and more...

LATEST NEWS ON CHARLOTTE'S BALLANTYNE HOUSING MARKET...WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW...WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOU... Home sellers remained essentially in the driver's seat in the Ballantyne area (28277 zip code) in July 2022. While inventory increased by 25 homes and the months supply of homes rose to 1.2 months, Ballantyne homes sold quickly and at higher prices year-over-year. Home sellers received 101.5% of list price in sale price. Foot traffic was definitely down, with the average home getting 12.9 showings in July 2022 compared with 20.4 showings in July 2022.  With closed and pending sales down, it would appear we might be returning to more of a pre-pandemic rate of sales and that the "feeding frenzy" we saw last summer has abated. BALLANTYNE AREA HOUSING MARKET HIGHLIGHTSJULY 2022 VERSUS JUL...
