Sailing on Lake Norman - NC Community Sailing and Rowing Club. Thanks to a young man from Augusta GA by the name of Will Paschal Lake Norman now has an official club that teaches young man and woman the art of sailing. He joined the sailing and rowing center, part of Mecklenburg Park and Recreation in late winter. He not only teaches young sailors but also coordinates a large group of talented volunteers who do everything from woodworking to teaching. The youngest student is 11 and there is no upper limit on age.   The classes are open to the public, and anyone who is qualified can rent equipment and sail on Lake Norman. The center is at Blythe Landing, on the south end of Lake Norman. Pasqual says the Ramsey Creek area where the center fronts "is awesome for sailing. Most of the motorb...

A new vision for downtown Huntersville, NC is becoming a reality with new commerce starting to emerge. I am echoing the words from a recent article I read about how downtownHuntersville, NC will become a thriving, mixed-use town center with varied housing types, retailers, restaurants, offices and recreational and other public offerings. Roads will be well-connected. Building design will be of the highest architectural quality. Attractive lighting, street trees and signage will grace the area, and people will have several convenient ways to get around, such as trains, buses and walking. Lake and Town Realty made the experience of selling our home & buying a new home wonderful! We had first listed our home with another realtor & company. The experience was awful and our house sat on the market for 6 months with no outcome. Brock was able to sell our home to the first person who came to view it & had it under contract in 10 days! He was also readily available to take us out to look for a new home & we were able to find a new home to buy. We cannot fully express how easy Brock made the whole experience for us! We will definetly be using Lake and Town Realty in the future & recommending Brock to everyone we know!                                                              Jason & Marcie Whitley   2009 FIVE STAR Real Estate Agent

Bryton Development is starting to take shape, but may run into a small "snag". The Town of Huntersville voted this past Monday and I am still waiting on a phone call to see how it turned out. (call or email me for update) As part of its approval for Bryton, AAC must widen the east side of 115 between the current roadway and the railroad tracks. The Dellingers, who someday hope to develop their land as well, have been reluctant to set a price, reportedly because they are not sure themselves how much the frontage is worth relative to development potential of their own property, which according to Mecklenburg County Polaris maps lies between the Duke Energy high-tension power line easement and J.M. Alexander Middle School. When the project is completed it will be one of the largest mixed d...
