Chico's Mexican Grill located in Huntersville North Carolina is a great place to take your family for authentic Mexican food. I have to admit that I was not the biggest fan of Mexican food but my wife Suzanne and triplet boys love it. So she introduced me to this quaint restaurant off the beaten path in Huntersville NC that I have come to really like. The atmosphere is nice with a couple of flat screen TVs just in case I need to watch the end of the football game. Service is outstanding and very accommodating, especially when I bring the boys. If you are tired of going to Chain restaurants please do not overlook this place. You will not be disappointed! Click here to visit their website and menu. PS By the way kids eat free on Saturday! Gilead Ridge subdivision homes sales are a hot spot in a relatively soft market in Huntersville NC. If you want to see what new homes are selling in this slow market, check out the Dorchester and the Summit series. The Dorchester is a popular model in Ryan Homes' Gilead Ridge neighborhood in Huntersville. The Summit series accounts for more than a third of sales in Pulte's Sun City Carolina Lakes in Lancaster County south of Ballantyne. They're strikingly different. The first offers lots of square footage for young families stretching tight budgets. The second appeals to active retirees drawn by the lifestyle as well as the home's layout. But they might be the most popular new-home models in the Charlotte market. They're top models in the most active neighborhoods by the builders that r...

The towns of Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson and Mooresville, NC are hoping for a economic boost with a North Corridor Rail Line. For years now these towns have been lobbying for a rail line that would bring business and revitalize neighborhoods near the rail lines. However a recent article in the The Charlotte Weekly has politicians of these towns scrambling to find ways to keep their vision alive. Here is a excerpt from the article: The Blue Line has been a financial boon for south Charlotte since it opened, but with tax revenue drying up, the next major piece of Charlotte's mass transit system may be more than a decade away. That's unless leaders from Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson and Mooresville have their way.Funding for the North Corridor commuter train, a track system that...

What's that new building going up on Eastfield Road? After a little detective work we found that it's a new fire station for the Town of Huntersville. This particular station will serve the eastern Huntersville area. While this will start as a volunteer station it will be converted over to a municipal paid station in time. The projected completion date is unknown but the rate of construction is moving along at a fast pace. For more information click here to visit the Huntersville City website information regarding the new fire station.

Huntersville real estate was (and still is) sought out due to its great schools and its ideal location. Back in 1990, Huntersville was just a sleepy little town of 3,000. Now (in 2009), it has a population of over 43,000. What's the draw? A few things: Huntersville is just 15 miles north of Charlotte and just 18 miles northeast of the Charlotte-Douglas Airport. It's nestled in between Lake Norman and the city of Charlotte.  In real estate location is king, but, other elements must exist for such continued growth. And Huntersville has the other elements. It offers all the amenities of city life, from business parks to bistros, and housing to health care-all beautifully packaged amongst tree lined, side walked communities. If you are shopping for a home in Charlotte, you may want to check...

HYAA Opening Day of our T-Ball Team was awesome. This is now my 3rd season coaching my triplet boys Michael, Ryan and Anthony and we are having a blast! The kids have gotten so much better in the past year and it is just great to see all of them enjoying this great game. I also coach at the High School level and it is just a joy to see kids having fun playing baseball. HYAA does a great job organizing and making sure that we are provided with all the tools to teach the kids. From the equipment to the playing fields the Town of Huntersville is a great place for organized sports for kids of all ages.       If you live in the Huntersville, NC area or moving to the area and want to get your children involved with sports check into the HYAA. I hope you enjoy the pictures!
