Due to decreasing inventory in Matthews in 2020 homes sold more quickly... on average in 24 days compared with 33 days the prior year. And despite considerably less inventory in 2020, 714 homes sold in 2020 compared with 666 homes in 2019. Eight neighborhoods topped the Matthews "sales charts" in 2020 with at least 15 sales or more.    BRIGHTMOOR Brightmoor remains a "hot" selling neighborhood in Matthews with 29 home sales in 2020  at an average home sale price of $318,769. Inventory of homes was down 64.3% year-over-year.   Latest news on the Matthews (28105 zip code) real estate market in September and what it means for you...   Matthews homes sales continued to rebound in September 2020, as evidenced by the 34.3% increase in pending sales compared with June 2019.  Matthews housing market continues to see low inventory with the months supply of inventory razor-thin at 0.9 months (down 59.1% year-over-year from 2.2 months).
