Believe it or not.  I have had a very busy spring and summer.  There is so much more activity in the Southport~Oak Island area of Brunswick County North Carolina.  We had such a disasterous year in 2009 and 2010..that it could not get any worse. The Southport Spring Festival ~ April 22 and 23 The Southport Spring Festival  Friday, April 22nd from 10 am - 5 pm and Saturday, April 23rd from 10 am - 4 pm The Festival is Located in Franklin Square Park and will feature more than 120 crafters and their handmade treasures.  There will be 10 food vendors offering the usual southern fare and treats for the unusual taste.   One of the sponsors of the festival, The Southport - Oak Island Kiwanis Club will be selling numerous colors of Encore Azaleas, Camellias and a wide variety of early flowers, herbs and plants. The Kiwanis Club will host a 5K Run/Walk beginning on the Southport waterfront at 8 am. We held our breath, our heart was pounding, as the auctioneer..... We attended a Live on the Lawn Auction this afternoon. We waited in anticipation for our clients home to be announced. They planned to bid live on line while the auction was Live on the Lawn. The home they planned to bid on is located in the gated golf community of St.James Plantation in Southport, North Carolina. Our client had flown down April 2nd from Ohio to preview the home located on the 10th hole of the Member's course.
