Believe it or not.  I have had a very busy spring and summer.  There is so much more activity in the Southport~Oak Island area of Brunswick County North Carolina.  We had such a disasterous year in 2009 and 2010..that it could not get any worse. I do hope that you are having the same results now also.  It is harder but at least if you keep working it will come..   Take care, Ginger

Like many small towns around the country, Southport is fortunate to have a viable and growing farmer’s market. Every Wednesday from 8-1, locals and visitors can enjoy a beautiful selection of produce from local farmers and unique creations from area artisans. Back that up with the breezy, blue backdrop of the Cape Fear River and the plunky sounds of bluegrass coming from the front porch of the historic Garrison House, you know you are experiencing Southport at its very best.So come on, local residents, lets put Brunswick County food on our table. Is it my just imagination that the small, tender squash fixed for dinner tonight tasted richer and sweeter than what I buy from the "big three?" I don’t think so. Let’s commit ourselves to supporting our young farmers and talented artisans… th...

Business is really picking up and I am doing right much volume right now. Hope that it is good for you too.   Take care, Ginger Harper of Southport, North Carolina

We held our breath, our heart was pounding, as the auctioneer..... We attended a Live on the Lawn Auction this afternoon. We waited in anticipation for our clients home to be announced. They planned to bid live on line while the auction was Live on the Lawn. The home they planned to bid on is located in the gated golf community of St.James Plantation in Southport, North Carolina. Our client had flown down April 2nd from Ohio to preview the home located on the 10th hole of the Member's course. The bidding started at a preset price and quickly rose to the point where our clients had decided was their cut off point.  The auctioneer loudly announced our clients first name, and we held our breath as he stated their final bid, and he repeated it over and over ~ suddenly a woman standing to th...

Some of our "100 Days to Greatness" folks went to the Richmond, Virginina, Turning Point classes with Brian Buffini. They came back so pumped up and ready to do business and I will plan to go to the next course that they have close to me. I know that the system works because, last week, I had 3 listings and 1 sale...using the Buffini System. Are you Buffinied...   Ginger Harper

BUY AMERICAN MADE PRODUCTS! Subject: How to Read Bar Codes on Food . . .  This is very interesting & good to know as a safeguard.    ALWAYS READ THE LABELS ON THE FOODS YOU BUY--NO MATTER WHAT THE FRONT OF THE BOX OR PACKAGE SAYS, TURN IT OVER AND READ THE BACK---CAREFULLY! With all the food and pet products now coming from China , it is best to make sure you read labels at the grocery store and especially Walmart when buying food products. Many products no longer show where they were made, only give where the distributor is located. It is important to read the bar code to track it's origin. How to read Bar Codes .... Interesting! This will be useful to know when grocery shopping. GREAT WAY TO BUY USA & CANADA AND NOT FROM CHINA!!           The whole world is afraid of China-made "Black...

This week, one of my dear friends, lost her son due to depression that was from being diabetic.  His depression was so deep that he could no longer deal with life.  He needed a release that he could not find on this earth.  WE have all had a hard time dealing with his loss.  His Mother and Dad are good strong Christian folks that need our love and care.  Lift them in prayer tonight.  This young man, at 39 years old, was a very talented and accomplished chef that brought style into our delightful resturants here in Southport North Carolina. He will be missed by many..
