Easter is the most blessed time of the year.  It is a time for remembrances of the past.  I think back over the Easters that I have experienced for the past 60 years.  It always began with a trip to the front yard to find the most beautiful azalea to pin on my new Easter dress that my mother made for me the week before. (usually hemming it on Saturday Eve)  Then off to Church to sit with my family and enjoy the story of the Resurrection and to sing those favorite hymns of Up From the Grave He Arose and HE Lives.     WE are having a lovely Spring like day with temperatures in the high 70's.  I am so ready for the warmth of the sun and the sounds Spring.  Spending my evening on the dock enjoying the sunset over the Creek.  Many of our shore birds are returning and will be raising a family before we know it.   Those of you that are really good letter writers I would like to find out if you would consider sharing some ideas about how to approach a lender in order to get possible foreclosures that I can list and sell. I have been trying to break into this market with the bankers and mortgage lenders and do no seem to be getting anywhere.     A great day today.  I had a listing appointment yesterday morning and another one yesteday afternoon.  Took one for sure and think that I will get the next one in a day or so..  And guess what!  Got another one this afternoon and another one on Thursday.   Hello ActiveRainers.. I have been trying all day to find out who to talk with here in North Carolina, particularly Brunswick County, to list foreclosed properties here.   Well Hello AR members... I held an Open House in St James  NC.  The house is located on the Golf Course and is built so professionally.  They call the style Low Country.  There is a lot of beautiful tile and hardwood floors through out.  Stylish arched doorways with columns.  WE do not see this standard of building along our coastal area of North Carolina. Problem, there were only 10 or so agents to come out and view this house.  Even with us offering gift cards and gifts and food.  We served chicken salad croissants, wheat and plain rolls with ham, cheese, turkey, and roast beef, Chips,  Chocolate Eclairs. Hi All, Need your help desperately.  I have a strong buyer who wants to buy a Manufactured home on 12 Acres of land and I am having a hard time getting a lender to loan him the money.  Do you have any experience in a situation like this.  He is a young, first time buyer who is a very hard worker and can certainly make the payment.     My advice to new agents is to join networking groups. Join as many as you possibly can.   It's a good way to get others to work for you.   When YOU have the listing..you have every agent that is a Buyers agent needing what YOU are providing.   Now you have to work for others out there also but they are in all different aspect in the of the professional work force.    Get your name out there. with your listings....... people can't  buy what they can't see and don't know about.  There are so many more ideas and suggestions but I also want to see what others have to say about getting Listings..   I need some fresh ideas.  Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated..   Have a Wonderful evening.   Ginger of Southport   http://www.GingerHarper.com 01/27/2015

As a young person, our family would watch TV on Saturday and Sunday evenings....Mama would pop ..popcorn and we would sit around and watch the Ed Sullivan Show.  We would see the new performers enter into the entertainment arena.    I remember seeing Stevie Wonder doing the finger poppin thing and also the Jackson 5.  Elvis with his gyrating hips..and of course the BEATLES!   Shirley Temple was my favorite.  I would watch "The Good Ship Lolipop" and dance along with her.  Then there was that "Masked Man on the White horse"....and then the Ape Man that swung from the vines...   We would play outside till dark and come in when Mama would call out "Dinner's Ready" "Come in and wash up".   I miss those Happy, Carefree Days of youth.   If you have Memories that you would like to share, pleas... 01/13/2015

  Our company is getting ready to do an Open House Extravaganza, January 10 thru January 30th.   This is the weekend for "Coast In and Win".  Names of viewers will be put in a pot and a drawing will take place and the winner will win $500.  The agent that sat the Open house will then win $250. Quicken has been my accounting program for many years but I am so frustrated with it right now.   Wondered how may Quicken users are out there. I wait till the end of the year and then sync my bank with Quicken and then pull the reports off for my Accountant to do the compnay taxes.    It seems like I start over each year trying to relearn the program.   Just want to throw up my hands and quit...but I can't.   Any advice would be appreciated. 01/07/2015
