The Club at Longview , Waxhaw NC Yes the Big Banana, Chiquita, is hosting a Nationwide Golf tournament here in  Waxhaw, N.C. And so, another professional golf tournament is coming to the Charlotte area and the first to Waxhaw.  The PGA Nationwide Tour announced Wednesday that the Chiquita Classic will take place September 24-30.The tournament will be at The Club at Longview in Waxhaw for the next three years. Chiquita CEO Fernando Aguirre committed his company to the success of this new tournamentThe tournament will host a field of 156 players for prize money worth $550,000.
