July 2015  showed a  continuing solid  performance  for home sales in the Waxhaw area of the Charlotte  metro area (the 28173 zip  code--encompassing Waxhaw, Weddington, and Marvin). The average sale price of Waxhaw area homes increased by 3.3% to just under $402,000 versus July 2014, while median days on market for property listings dropped by 18 days to 38 days, a 32.1% improvement over the same period last year. Price per square foot also increased by 3.6% to $114/square foot during July 2015 versus July 2014.  Closed sales in the Waxhaw/Weddington/Marvin areas were essentially flat, increasing slightly in July 2015.
