First, foremost and not on the list is a fund raiser for Haley Sundsbak's family. Haley (10 years old) and a friend were swimming when a run away jet ski struck them and killed Haley last week. It is speculated that the jet ski operator did not have the safety kill switch around their wrist so when he/she fell off of the jet ski it just ran on it's own striking the girls and killing 10 year old Haley. All 4 of the Marketplace Foods stores will be selling hot dogs with 100% of the proceeds going to Haley's family. Now having gotten that off my chest a couple of the items to the left I may consider (if I complete getting the garage cleaned out) are:Party By The Park by Eagles Wings Community Church which is located across the street from Arrowhead Shopping Center and North of Harleys Conoc...

How could you top something called "Ribfest"? This is a BIG event and that is why it's held at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds. Starting at 11:00 AM and running all the way to 9:30 PM. For only $5.00 you can sit down and eat for 10-1/2 hours!Financial Peace University may not sound all that exciting for a Friday evening BUT you will love the benefits of this knowledge for years and years to come. The Pursuit is a super active local church located in the old Harley Davidson shop on 20th Ave SE.I just may take in the T-Shirt Design Workshop because I am the artsie type and maybe I'd end up with the coolest Real Estate T- Shirt ever!If you are an Equine Sports person and a "bit" confused about what bit to choose you will want to take in the bit seminar at the Dakota Rocky Mountain Horse...

1st and foremost please do not forget that Thursday is Flag Day so display our flag proudly tomorrow.Hitting upon the events that are not weekly you all know how I love Mexican food, theater, and kids so the Dine to donate event at Paradiso for the Kids Theater is absolutely on my list for tomorrow. That being said I will point out that "Baby Play" at the Library is not theater... it should be called Baby Play Time. The Arts in the Park Concert will be Cool Beans and a second performance by The Vet Center. Not listed to the right but on the VisitMinot.org website is:Rummage sale at The Taube Art Museum. This will be an actual rummage sale with donated items but every year I've also picked up some nice art at a great price. There is a FREE movie at the Oak Park Theater, I Can Only Imagine. I...

I see 3 library related events on todays list and I want to especially point out the teen movie at Ward County library being teens are usually the first to say "I'm bored".Next I have to point out the car wash fundraiser being my kids will be there scrubbing away (or what ever they do). I'm sure I'll be bringing all the Timm vehicles over to be washed.A few more items not on the Minot Daily News's list that I found on VisitMinot.org include:Open Studio time at Margie's Stain Glass.Dynamic Dino's as well as Fun Figure drawing classes at The Taube Art Museum. There is a YOUTH quilting workshop at Creative Dimensions. The Minot DAV will be hosting a coffee and chat. There is actually about 8 more that I have not covered here so please visit the VisitMinot.org site to get fully informed on all...

06/11/2018Available Condos & Town homes in Minot ND.There are currently 35 Condominiums and 33 Townhomes for a total of 68 units available in Minot ND. They range in price from $76,900 to $359,900. The average listing price is $201,167. The average days on market is 94. Sales of Condos and Townhomes last week were: Believe it or not I have to sort through all the condo and town home listings to be sure they are listed correctly for this report. They seldom are. The point being some Realtors have no idea what the differance is between a condo and a town home. This is a serious problem for a Buyer. If your agent doesn't know the differance then you should find yourself a new Real Estate agent.

WOW! What more can I say?1st and foremost Get Out and Vote! After voting I'm looking forward to the concert at the Oak Park Amphitheater by River Valley Brass (don't look for me in the 1st row... I don't need a hearing aid yet).Another GREAT choice would be the MSU Summer Theater Opening Night BBQ. The opening show is Sister Act. Tickets are $20.00. Google for more information. There are a couple events at the Minot Public Library you may wish to check out. I can never say enough about Minot's very innovative library staff and all the things they offer to the entire family. On the VisitMinot.org website there is a group I'm unfamiliar with that I wish to mention: POTS. They are holding their summer picnic at Roosevelt Park from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Here is a little about them as posted on FB. ...

There are several familiar weekly events noted to the right so let me cover the ones that are not weekly and my favorite (by name) that is not noted.Mask Mania Monday at The Taube Museum of Art from 1:00 - 3:00 PM for ages 10 and up (yes, that does include adults). Join Margaret and Charles Lee for this two day creative art class and make original plaster masks. 740th Missile Squadron Fundraiser at the Pizza Ranch. This is an easy one, just eat at the Pizza Ranch between 5:00 and 9:00 PM and a portion of your bill plus all tips go the help out the squadron. The funds will be used for a special Veterans Diner.I'm going to keep my commentary this brief today except I want to encourage all Minot voters to do a little research before voting on Tuesday. Make an informed decision.

Well, if you are like me you are asking yourself "why am I not camping?". Good question, the weather is absolutely perfect for it.Our favorite campground is the State campground on Lake Audubon just 50 miles South of Minot. But back to the question of what is happening in Minot this Sunday. For starters... go worship at the church of your choice with your family. From Noon to 1:00 take the kids to Main Street Books for a free class of how to start a succulent terrarium in a Mason glass (then give it to dad for fathers day).Arts In The Park free concert series will be in Oak Park at 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM features the Minot City band and visual artist Mark Holter. And that's about it for free planned events in Minot. You can always drop a fishing line in the river, visit the zoo, or just relax i...

06/09/2018This week there were 13 homes sold (closed) in this very narrow category of stick built, single family homes located in the City limits of Minot. A look at the Red chart below shows there were 24 closings overall to include all properties in our MLS. Of the homes that closed this week the average days on market was 110 compared to last weeks 92 days. Over all homes sold slower and for more money per square foot this week. The chart above is the total MLS activity for the week. This includes ALL types of properties as well as all cities in our MLS. The chart below is very restrictive as explained below.Be sure to note the line above as this is a very restrictive report. There were 13 homes sold in this limited category. The most expensive home sold for $385,000. and it was on t...

Hobbies are always good therapy and the Stitch Therapy class at Creative Dimensions is excellent for men & women. Although I am not a quilter myself I am a big fan and I'm seeing more and more men getting involved in it and doing some amazing work. I interviewed the owner of Creative Dimensions on Minot Real Estate Today a couple of months ago. Here is a link to that 15 minute radio broadcast.A word about Tennis Rocks Block Party: Join us for the Tennis Rocks Block Party Play Day. This open house will be held at 2424 Landmark Drive but feel free to come and see the neighborhood. 2424 has just gone under contract but the other side of this twin home will be available shortly and if you act now you will have some choices in floor coverings and paint. Also nearing completion are the Granite and Chinook models. We also have plans to build several single family homes with scenic views and walk-out basements. Come visit with me, Bob Timm, this evening between 6 and 7 PM.
