Of the homes that closed this week the average days on market was just 80 compared to last weeks 103 days. Over all homes sold faster and for a lot less money per square foot this week. The chart above is the total MLS activity for the week. This includes ALL types of properties as well as all cities in our MLS. The chart below is very restrictive as explained below.Be sure to note the line above as this is a very restrictive report. I get to shoot people and get away with it.(come on up Candice A. Donofrio and give me a hand). The Nerf Club FB page says: All ages welcome and parents are highly encouraged to participate! Darts will be provided and extra blasters will be available. Eye protection is required!!! Great Gatsby Party. Taking these one at a time:Who doesn't like a rummage sale? I'm in! I'll have to find out who the Trinity Lifesavers are because that sounds like a good interview for my radio show Minot Real Estate Today.Endangered Species Day at the Roosevelt Park Zoo. That fits in perfectly with Fridays radio program because my guest is Becky DeWits, the zoo director. Please listen in.I don't know anything about the May Vender Show at Dakota Square Mall. Maybe it's all about my friend Alan May vending something???Gymagic Play Date is all about gymnastics and believe it or not I was a very good gymnast but at my age now I'll stick to simple stuff like cartwheels, handstands, and somersaults.Chess and Checkers at the Minot Public Library sounds fun but I'm not ready to slow down that much yet.Rose Bate...

Once again there is such a GREAT variety of things to do in Minot that you couldn't possibly do it all. They are all good things to do but if I could take in a few I'd...#1) Head to Central Campus and see if any of the artwork is by my son (I'm sure it is).#2) I'd like to check out the Souris Valley Woodworkers Meeting as I have always enjoyed wood working and did not know this group existed... I think I need to see if they will go on the air with me for Minot Real Estate Today.#3) I'd like to see just how "Crafty" the Crafty Crew is. You know with Real Estate I may need to take a basket weaving course soon.#4) I'm going to head to the Scandinavian Park for sure and walk through the displays on opening day. That's all I'm going to have time for as I have an open house and I'm also headed...

It looks pretty sparse for tomorrow BUT the news paper forgot the biggest event of all, the birth of Robert Leland Timm! How dare they forget! The TCCU has me scratching my head... a good cause, Relay for Life but to sell hot dogs for a cause to help people live healthier.. am I missing something here?If you care about who is on the school board you will want to take in the candidate's forum. That's a thankless job I wouldn't wish on anyone.Operation Warm Heart is a GREAT cause. I have to admit I had to look it up beacause I didn't have a clue:Operation Warmheart, run solely by first sergeants, is in place here at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota to help Air Force families in need during the holiday season. The non-profit organization cares for the morale and welfare of Team Minot and ...

Sorry about the short notice as to what's happening today but if you didn't have any plans you should still be good to make today's events. There is some pretty good stuff happening today, I for one may be attending the Low Labor Gardening event. The Relay for Life is a very important event but I don't care to be part of the planning and for those who don't know what "The Rock" is it's a Youth for Christ meeting place.I know a lot of my friends at Active Rain would take part in the Pet Supply Donation Drive if they could.Tomorrow, Tuesday the 15th I just may go throw some hoseshoes if other contestants dare allow me on the court... I haven't killed anyone yet.I'd take in "Read To The Animals" but I'm not getting anywhere near the shelter because if I do I'd what to free all the animals!O...

Let's tell our friends, you call the ones on the left and I'll call to the right. They just HAVE TO come see our new home at Highlands at North Hill! The Chinook Twin Home is nearing completion and while it will be reasonably priced  I don't think these geese are going to have enough "bills" between them to afford it SO at this time this zero barrier home is available to you. Zero barrier means No steps and Wide hallways for easy accessibility (even for a goose). These two bedroom, two bath, triple garage homes, will be completed soon so if you are interested NOW is the time to contact me about what options are available to you. There has been a lot of interest in these homes so call today. By the way I've only seen geese on a roof 3 times in my life and two of those times have been in ...

Mothers Day at the Roosevelt Park Zoo was a zoo today!See the front door, see the bridge? The line of people to get in crossed over the bridge, through the doors and from one end of the building to the other. Thank goodness we got there before the line was nearly that long. Here are a few of the tons of pictures I took during our visit.   BTW, the warthog is just sleeping. It was a beautiful sunny day with temps in the mid 70's. A perfect day to enjoy the Roosevelt Park Zoo, and a nap.

What is the difference between a Condo and a Townhouse? The main difference in Minot ND is the Zoning and that a Condo association only has 1 water main feeding the entire property (that is why your water bill is part of the condo fees) and the same applies for City sewer and water. A Townhouse may or may not be part of a homeowners association whereas a condo will most definitely be part of a homeowners association (HOA).

Happy Mothers Day!All of us have a Mother and today is the day we let them know we appreciate them. While my mother is long gone I will be celebrating Mothers day with the mother of my children as we go out to eat and take advantage of Mother's Day At The Zoo.There is a good chance we will hit some of the rummage sales that are still open after this weekend of The City Wide Rummage Sale and a slight chance we will go to Mom's Rock At Classic Rock Coffee.I hope you get out there and show some appreciation to a mother you know tomorrow.Once again I want to thank the Minot Daily News for publishing these events every day in the paper. I highly encourage a subscription to the Minot Daily News if you really want to know what is going on in our community. Your subscription also entitles you t...

Today's Radio broadcast of Minot Real Estate Today featured Lorena Starkey, General Manager of Hyatt House, Minot North Dakota. When the oil boom hit Western ND in 2010 there was a huge shortage of motel/hotel rooms. In one year alone 12 motels were built. Then when the boom whent bust we went from 100% occupancy to about 15% occupancy. Many of the motels headed towards bankruptsy and almost all of them came up for sale and a few even closed down all together. Not the Hyatt House, Minot! The Hyatt House, Minot is my neighbor being I represent the housing development just to the North of it. Every day when I come to work I see a full parking lot when I drive by. So how come they are doing so good when most of the others are failing? Listen in to find out for yourself.Minot Real Estate Tod...

There is just to much happening in Minot Saturday May 12th for me to comment on it all BUT hey, who doesn't love The Roller Derby? The two Minot women's teams face each other tomorrow. The City wide rummage sale and the Shrine Circus continue as does the play by the Mouse River Players.I want to especially point out the 26th Annual Letter Carriers Food Drive. This food drive is a miracle for Minot's food pantries. Just place a/some grocery items out by your mail box and it will be collected and given to the food pantry.Once again I want to thank the Minot Daily News for publishing these events every day in the paper. WOW! What a GREAT list of things to do on a Friday!I for one could spend all day rummage sailing and no doubt there will be enough of them to go from dawn to dusk!If you will not be attending the Minot State University's commencement ceremonies you may want to avoind that area of Broadway. Between the ceremony, rummage sailing, and the Broadway Bridge construction it's going to be a mess!If you can't make the Shrine Circus today you have another shot at it tomorrow. Circuses are becoming a thing of the past so let your child experience one while they still can.Gymagic is our local gymnastics group and this event is a great introduction to their program for your child. If you like visual art you will want to head to CHS SunPrairie for this benefit to help a local dance studio. Art, literature, a carnival, and pizza are on tonight's schedule... what more could you want? Tomorrow the Shrine Circus comes to Minot ND! There is always good family fun to be had in Minot ND if one takes the time to look for it. I've found the best place for me is on page two of the Minot Daily News. While many folks feel that a printed newspaper is a thing of the past I'm very proud of our paper here. If you prefer to get your news on a screen then you should know that a sudscription to the Minot Daily News also lets you get it electronically. In this day of "shop local" you just can not get more local than the hometown newspaper.

Here I go again! I may not move my home very often but this will be the 5th time since October that I've moved my office space and actually it would be GREAT if I moved it a couple (or more) more times this year. The window on the upper right is my current office. I will be moving to the window on the upper left which is in the other side of the Twin Home I'm working from now. Of course the good thing is I won't need those moving vans pictured above and my clients for Highlands at North Hill should still find me very easily.I am still available in my Alliance Real Estate office at The Arrowhead Mall as well. The Arrowhead Mall is also where I record Minot Real Estate Today for broadcast every Friday on 106.9 FM and 1320 AM.
