Home Remodeling Corner Board and House Wrap or Felt Paper Home Owners, folks this is a small checklist to be helpful and I sure hope you do find it to be at least a bit of help.           1. Install House Wrap or Felt Paper at all corners of your home.     2. Double-wrap corners by applying vertical Felt Paper or House Wrap splines under the corner boards.     3. Don't caulk the joint between the siding and corner board; caulk deteriorates over time, providing a pathway for water to get into the frame and preventing trapped water from escaping.       P.S. Folks if you happen to be new stopping by my blog here on this site, I would like to say that I usually go into more details with my blog posts, or are folks which visit and read my blog on a regular bases, then you know that my blog p...

( I do recommend that folks do use an actual good House Wrap! But I do also understand with the way the economy has been going, that folks also might not be able to go the best way and might need to just go with Felt Paper.)     2. The wrap should be continuous; avoid a patchwork of small places.     3. Provide an unrestricted path down and out of the space behind the siding. Wall membranes should overlap by three inches horizontally and six inches vertically. Tape all...
