  Riverside Snow shoe at Sunset, recreational activities are abundant in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.   My Ski pass and my health club membership are blacked out during school vacation weeks. If it weren't for the Holiday lights every where, I could see why many people get depressed in December. I took a shot out my window this morning just before 8 am...The sun was coming up and the first rays were on the eastern side of the mountain summits. The White Mountain of New Hampshire were treated to a fresh blanket of snow...but the wind blew it off all the trees. Just the summits about 4,000 feet (Lafayette and Liberty Mt's) showed the snow. 7:45 am today.             Fast forward 8 hours....4pm today - the sun was all done shining on this valley. The day was very short and getting short each day until December 21st...when it starts working the other direction getting a bit longer (by a minute or two) each day until June 21st.
