Well, It's Brigantine in September - a month that most of us here LOVE!  It's just right during the day, and a little cooler at night.  The streets and beaches are not as crowded, but the sunsets are just as gorgeous!  This is the best time to talk a walk on the beach, a stroll on the sea wall, or a jog down Brigantine Ave.  September is also a great time to shop in Brigantine.  Many of the local merchants have great savings and end of summer specials!  Check out the Central Business District Web Site at:  There are also some fall events and festivals listed on the web site! Our local restaurants also serve up great food throughout the winter unlike other shore towns where most places close.  And don't forget our golf course - yes, Brigantine has an 18 hol...

Brigantine Island is one of the most unique areas along the Jersey Coast. Not just for the beach lover, Brigantine boasts a wildlife preserve that is home to all manor of wildfowl including the Piping Plover. In our dune areas it is not unusual to see lots of small foxes who have made their home here. The preserve area includes an additional few miles of uninhabited dunes and beaches on the north end of the island. If you are more interested in sea mammals, then you can visit our very own Marine Mammal Stranding Center. The operators of this center have gone all over the globe to aid in rescuing these exciting sea creatures who have found themselves in trouble. During the summer months the center runs many programs for our young people. They also work closely with the various wetlands o...

North End Brigantine North end is a beautiful area and offers approximately 14 blocks of easy access to the beach and all the fun you can have on this end of the island.  You may enjoy the surf, surf fishing, wave riding, nature walking and watching for the natural wildlife, boating, four wheel access to the wide open beaches, sport fishing, or just sunbathing on the beach.  You will need a permit to use the drive on beach.   A-Zone Brigantine A-Zone offers spacious single family homes in a neighborhood with recreation and community opportunities.  This neighborhood starts at 15th street and goes up to 31st Street and covers from the bay to the ocean.  This neighborhood has an extensive selection of single family homes, including both pre-owned and new construction homes for sale. Interested in what is going on in the Brigantine New Jersey real estate market? We have your update! 2008 has been a year of adjustments thus far. Median sales prices have dropped significantly making the island moreaffordable. While waterfront properties remain high, the values in Brigantine are better than most of the surrounding waterfront areas including Ocean City, Margate, and Longport. All prices have come down and we believe that the island has stabilized. Some sellers are still unrealistic and so are some buyers. At Century 21 O'Donnell, we believe that the high gas prices will have a positive effect on the demand for both rentals and sales. A straight shot from center city Philadephia makes the island accessible in about an hour. Brigantine is the closest bedroom community to ...

I took a look at what was going on in the Brigantine market and created these two charts to visually show what has been going on from 2000 to 2007.The chart on the left shows that list prices (in blue) and sold prices leveled out in 2005 and have not increased much. It would appear that prices have not declined however this is not accurate and does not take into consideration new homes construction and other factors that skew the average sale price. The second Chart shows the number of homes listed and sold since 2000 in Brigantine, NJ. As you can see inventory remains nearly double what it was from 2000 to 2003 while the number of sold homes has dropped dramatically. If you are a home buyer or seller in the Brigantine market please contact me. When we work with our buyer clients we con...
