Hightstown Borough Council Considers More Changes to the Long-Delayed Redevelopment Plan of Rug Mill Site  In late May, the Hightstown Borough Council tried to jump start the long-awaited redevelopment of the Rug Mill property located on Bank Street by asking the Planning Board to eliminate the requirement that the developer build a new or refurbished borough hall as part of the project. Borough planners have yet to make a recommendation on the proposed ordinance, however, they have scheduled a meeting to discuss it on June 25. Greystone Capital Partners, the developer for the project, has indicated they would comply with the latest maximum of 130 residential units in the redevelopment ordinance in exchange for not having to redevelop or rebuild the borough hall - a proposal that would ...
