Lincoln Park Real Estate - Tax RevaluationI recently received a notice from the Borough of Lincoln Park, indicating that Lincoln Park is going to have a tax revaluation.  As a real estate agent for Century 21 Crest Real Estate,  and as a specialist in Lincoln Park real estate, this did not come as a surprise...I know that several of the area towns have undergone tax revaluations over the past couple of years, it was only a matter of time before Lincoln Park had its turn.  It has been over ten years since the last one.  The purpose of a tax revaluation is to bring the property assessments closer to the current market values of our homes. The town has hired Certified Valuations, Inc. of Randolph, NJ., to perform the inspections.  Lincoln Park is having a public meeting on March 19th at 7...

As a real estate agent for Century 21 Crest Real Estate, I often have buyers who want to become more familiar with a town before making a decision on purchasing a home there.  I think that one of the best ways for a client to get the feel of a town is to attend a special event, such as a picnic, street fair, or a sporting event.  Now that the weather is changing to Spring here in Morris County, it is the perfect time for potential buyers to visit.  Lincoln Park has a couple of sporting events coming up to celebrate the Spring season.  The 2nd annual "Spring Fever Fastpitch Softball Tournament" will be held on April 11th and 12th.  And then on April 19th, Lincoln Park is having the 2nd annual Opening Day/Field Day for PAL Baseball and Softball.  There will be speed pitch, a dunk booth, t...

Update on Lincoln Park Real Estate.  These are the single family homes that have closed in Lincoln Park since January 1, 2008.  As you can see, not many homes have closed in the town so far this year.  However, there are 20 homes (including condos/townhomes)  currently "under contract" in Lincoln Park, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this list will be quite a bit longer in the near future. For additional information about Lincoln Park real estate, please don't hesitate to contact me.Sold Single Family Homes in Lincoln Park, NJ 07035 from 1/1/08 to 3/7/08*AddressList Price   BR  BASold PriceDate Sold                DOM199* RIVEREDGE RD* $174,900 41$160,000 2/26/20088829* RIVERVIEW AVE(NO FLOOD) $280,000 11$255,000 1/11/20086815* W WILLIAM ST $339,900 42$316,050 2/29/200811446* EVER...

I think it was their lucky day...Lincoln Park has a small craft airport on Jacksonville Road. There was an incident there on Sunday.  Well, I guess incident really doesn't describe it.  It was a plane wreck.   According to the press release from the Lincoln Park Police Department, at about 11:40 a.m. on March 2nd, a student pilot was attempting to land a Cessna Model 172S aircraft at the Lincoln Park Airport.  He lost control.  The plane struck a fence at the end of the runway, flipped over, and split in half.  It ended up on Jacksonville Road (no motorists were injured.)  The pilot and the instructor were found upside down in the plane secured in their harnesses.  The pilot, a local man from Pompton Plains, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.  The instructor refused medical ...

I thought that now that Lincoln Park is the 5th best place to live in New Jersey, as ranked by New Jersey Monthly Magazine, many buyers may want to know more information about the different neighborhoods to be found in this great town.  I decided to first concentrate on Woodland Hills, the condominium complex where I live, because who knows it better?  Woodland Hills is a condominium complex located in Lincoln Park, New Jersey.  A lovely pond and fountain welcome you into the complex.  There is a clubhouse, a playground, and an outdoor pool, all available to the residents.  There are 12 buildings spread out around an oval, and that oval is a wonderful "track" to jog, walk, take out the dog, and meet your neighbors.  The majority of the condos are 2 bedroom and 2 full baths, with living ...

Lincoln Park Ranked 5th Best Place to Live in New Jersey in  New Jersey Monthly Magazine! Lincoln Park is moving up!  In New Jersey Monthly Magazine's Best Places to Live in New Jersey, Lincoln Park was named the 5th best town to live in New Jersey.  The magazine's rankings are based on numerous criteria, including home values, school ratings, population growth, land development, employment, crime rate, and proximity to certain services, like hospitals and movie theatres.  I've been a resident of Lincoln Park for over ten years, and I agree..it is a great place to live!  It has the charm of a small town, with easy access to several hospitals, mass transportation, shopping malls, and four major highways.  Along with local restaurants and shops, Lincoln Park boasts a McDonald's, Subway, C...
