Paramus NJ Real Estate - 3 Year Residential Market Snapshot I have created the following report from information collected by the New Jersey Multiple Listing Service to take a look at the Paramus NJ real estate market as it pertains to residential properties over the last three years. The highest period of sales occured in the third quarter of last year. This makes sense because not only did people want to get in before school started in September, but interest rates were still low and prices in the Paramus area are at a very desirable price point for many buyers. The following Paramus NJ real estate market report pertains to Residential properties only for period of 12 months back from today, with statistical data provided from the New Jersey Multiple Listing Service. As you can see from the graph, units sold peaked at 25 around August of 2013. The winter has taken a toll on the number of days on the market for homes under contract. While the average days on the market for homes under contract during the 12 month period was 75, homes currently under contract have been on the market for around 175 days around January 2014. The average median sales price of $520,646 reflects a period of higher prices from May through September, with tail-offs occuring after the beginning of school through the winter.
