~ Desert Bighorn Rams near Lake Mead, NV: "Me boss.  You not."  ~ ~ "Okay.  Now that we've got that settled..." ~ NEVER be without your camera!  You never know what you'll see.  A week ago, I was in Boulder City, NV getting a haircut.  The barber was talking with another customer about the Bighorn sheep that had come down from the ridges of the mountains that overlook Lake Mead to feed on the lush grass near his subdivision.   My ears perked up.  I'd seen three overpasses on Hwy 93's Arizona side that were constructed solely to let Desert Bighorn sheep cross safely above the highway.  Stopping near each overpass, I tried to catch a glimpse of these magnificent animals.  Not a trace.  I asked the barber where he lived, and whether he thought I could get a photo or two if I drove out the... 08/28/2011

DAY 47 New construction (BOULDER CITY NV) TUSCANY RETREAT We are finally getting to the home stretch and completion within a couple of weeks. We are at the point where the custom finishes inside are coming together. The kitchen features these beautiful custom maple cabinets and will have granite counter tops. Recessed lighting is ready to be installed. DAY 42 New construction (BOULDER CITY NV) TUSCANY RETREAT  Work continues to progress on this 2840 square foot single story in Tuscany Retreat. The exterior stucco has been completed. Foundation work at Tuscany Retreat in Boulder City Nevada   More progress this morning in Tuscany Retreat !! The foundation is being poured today on a home we sold about three weeks ago. At just the one week mark the foundation has been trenched, underground plumbing installed and slab is being graded then a moisture barrier is installed. Type two gravel is then spread over the moisture barrier.   WOW WHAT A VIEW OF LAKE MEAD !! THIS IS THE VIEW TO THE LEFT OF THE HOME UNDER CONSTRUCTION. DAY SIX OF CONSTRUCTION AT TUSCANY RETREAT IN BOULDER CITY, NEVADA. As you can see the underground plumbing has been completed and is awaiting inspection. The inspection is ordered for today. After inspection the plumbing will be back filled and slab prepared to be poured. At Tuscany retreat the homes are constructed in about sixty calender days. This is a 3376 square foot semi custom with incredible views of lake mead. In southern Nevada we are able to adhere very close to our sixty day schedule because weather delays are very rare, today it is 83 and sunny.         06/07/2011
