A proposed maintenance ordinance in North Las Vegas for vacant homes, was withdrawn this past week.  The ordinance was attempting to reduce Las Vegas' supply of vacant homes that have been left to deteriorate.  In order to accomplish this, lenders were being forced to register all foreclosed homes in Henderson, NV and Las Vegas with the city.  This ordinance was initially proposed on October 3, 2012, however, the city council pushed the voting until later in the month.  Changes that have been proposed to the ordinance are:   -the elimination of the vacancy requirement (including homes with a default or notice)   -the inclusion of Henderson and Las Vegas homes in which the homeowner forgoes traditional foreclosure proceedings, and allows the lender to carry the deed   -forcing the regist... 11/09/2012
