When listing a home for sale, Sellers should think like Buyers.  When most sellers list their home for sale the first thing they think about is how much will I get and how soon will I get the money. Understanding the way buyers think involves seeing things from their perspective. It sounds easy but actually it's often harder to do than most sellers think. The psychology of buying is driven by emotional experiences, money, and timing. With that in mind, sellers can help create optimal circumstances that literally help walk the buyer through the process and completion of the sale of your home. When listing a home for sale, Sellers should think like Buyer...

Clifton Park NY - "We live too far north for termites!" I hear this all the time.  Unfortunately people associate termites with warm weather climates.  Subterranean termites are the most common and widely distributed termite in the US.  They are commonly found in all Midwestern and Eastern states as indicated below. It is estimated that more than 1 in 5 homes in high activity areas have been or will be attacked at sometime by these little insects.  So, when purchasing a home, please use the services of a Certified Pest Inspector to help insure your new home is termite free. Clifton Park NY - Recycle Me Please!!!   I don't consider myself a "tree hugger" but I try to be a good steward of our natural (and un-natural) resources.  Often times I may have something I consider junk and in years past I would have simply thrown it in the garbage can.  Now, I think twice. For example, last year I removed some wooden lattice work from the bottom of my deck and replaced it with 1x4s.  Instead of just throwing the lattice in the garbage, I posted it on the FREE section of craigslist.com.  I got 7 legitimate emails from people who wanted it.  Many of them had camps up north and they only needed a little for their decks.   Three years ago I cleaned out my basement.  I'm the kind of guy that always saves the boxes and packing material from electronic equipment.  While cle...

Clifton Park NY Restaurants Chipotle Mexican Grill opens its' newest location in Clifton Park Center Mall Chipotle Mexican Grill prides itself on the the importance of how their ingredients are grown and raised not just what they cost.  This means better tasting tacos and burritos for you.  It means encouraging growers to pursue humane and healthy practices, and rewarding farmers who choose quality over mass production.  It means new and higher expectations about what we consume every day. The opening day was bustling, with a line out the door.  Considering the temp was about 15 degrees and a howling wind, I think this demonstrates the need for establishments with this level of quality in their products in and around Clifton Park.  Stop by and enjoy!!!

Realtors embrace the Internet as a marketing tool.  At the beginning of the 21st century, most home buyers had never viewed a home online; the three top home sale marketing methods were yard signs, newspaper ads and open houses; and nearly nine out of 10 buyers financed their purchase with a fixed-rate, 30-year mortgage. What a difference a decade makes.  Buyers are searching online. "The real estate industry has seen tremendous change and evolution over the past decade," said NAR President Vicki Cox Golder, owner of Vicki L. Cox & Associates in Tucson, Ariz.  Realtors embrace the internet as a marketing tool.   "As the first, best source for real estate information, Realtors® have not only anticipated and adapted to the evolving needs of their clients and customers, but also have influ...

For all of 2009 there were 5,156,000 existing-home sales, which was 4.9 percent higher than the 4,913,000 transactions recorded in 2008; it was the first annual sales gain since 2005.
