This summer I had the opportunity to go on a cruise to Belize a country in Central America. The country is very poor. One of the greatest things I did in that country was to drive one hour to the caverns and the underground river. They offered River tubing. It was a wonderful experience consisting of sitting in a tube with head flashlight and meandering down the river. The river goes underground through the caverns. With the light you are able to see the beautiful formations within the caverns above and all around you. It was awesome especially seeing the bats which were housed way up in the caverns.Remember it was pitch black and these nocturnal mammals thought it was nighttime.
