Henrietta, NY Real Estate News

Looking for something festive to do in the Greater Rochester area this holiday season? There's a hidden treasure in Henrietta that won't cost a cent but will provide over half an hour of holiday enjoyment! A homeowner in Henrietta has created his own computerized Christmas light show, T2Lights. Using over 16,000 Christmas lights, he's set his display to music that can be heard over a radio station powered by his own low power FM transmitter. It rivals any display you've seen on the internet! Here's a preview of my favorite song:   Carol Of The Bells - Rochester Christmas Lights 2009 from T2Lights on Vimeo.   T2Lights is located at 15 Academy Drive in Henrietta, a suburb of Rochester. The show runs from 5-10 PM through January 1st. Don't miss it... it will definitely get you in the holid...

This three bedroom colonial rests in the heart of Henrietta, featuring stunning hardwoods throughout the home. Other features include: updated kitchen cabinets, newer 30 year architectural roof, and vinyl siding. The picture window in the living room provides plenty of natural lighting. The office addition adds even more space, and could be used as an office or your family room. There is a natural flow from the office to the rear deck which is perfect for entertaining or just enjoying your private yard. In fact, looking at the old listing it looked quite nice. Were we that wrong," the assessor asked? My professional opinion is that the house should have sold for $129,000 but the sellers were convinced that the house was worth more based on the assessment. By the time the asking price was reduced to $129,000 the house had been on the market so long that the public was convinced that there was something wrong with it. Much of the country is crying the real estate blues, but that is not really the case in Rochester, NY. If a house is sparkling clean, tastefully decorated and priced fairly, it will sell. Case in point, 32 Justinshire Drive, in Henrietta, NY.I listed this house early Thursday morning, had the first showing Friday morning and by suppertime that evening had a nice offer in hand. My sellers are now busy packing!
