By Kevin Korber of Village Confidential   Greenwich Village’s Blue Note jazz club, one of the most notable jazz clubs in a neighborhood full of them, is welcoming saxophonist Dee Lucas this Saturday. Lucas, a self-taught saxophonist, is currently touring behind his third record, Standing Room Only. Lucas plays a form of contemporary smooth jazz, peppered with influences of R&B and contemporary pop music. The Blue Note is one of the most popular jazz clubs in the city, and it has hosted such great musicians as Dizzy Gillespie and Tito Puente. Time will tell if we can add Dee Lucas to that list. Dee Lucas performs at the Blue Note Jazz Club (6th and MacDougal) on Saturday, April 2nd at 12:30 am. Tickets are $15. For more info, call (212) 475-8592.
