The Headless Horseman (H5) is home to the world’s most famous haunted houses and hayrides. It has been rated as the "#1 haunted attraction in the United States by Haunt World Magazine, and listed as one of the "Top 20 Hometown Haunted Houses in America" by Fangoria. From start to finish, this is an impressive operation of moving parts, illusions and artistry for optimal creepiness. My personal favorite was seeing the headless horseman, it was a moment of amazement.  This haunted attraction covers 45 acres (180,000 m2). The Headless Horseman has been featured on Emeril's Halloween special and the Travel Channel, and draws celebrities, local, national and international visitors each year.   If you are near Ulster County, NY its worth the visit! If you miss it this year, there's always nex...

GROUND BREAKING FOR THE BIRCHES AT CHAMBERS Affordable Senior housing is in short supply in many communities nationwide.  This is  a need in the Mid Hudson Valley. One of my specialties is working with seniors  and I do get calls from children of seniors desperately searching for a senior complex.   I have a herd of White Tail Deer that live in my yard. They sleep in the grass of my backyard and eat the blackberries in my front yard. They will also enjoy anything I try to plant. We get along fine. Pictured here with my dog, Boomer, is Bucky a three year old buck that has been in my yard since stumbling out as a fawn. The deer tease Boomer, who goes out on a rope. The deer go just close enough so they know Boomer will not be able to reach them.   We have all sorts of wild life in our yard turtles, squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks, wild turkeys and all sorts of birds. We call it our game farm.   Today "game farm" took on a whole new meaning.   This Black bear was in my neighbors yard...eating the garbage.   This guy was pretty comfortable with us going out to take pictures.  Giving up...

Until I moved to Ulster Park NY, seeing a deer was an exciting event. Their graceful beauty always amazed me. They still are beautiful creatures, but I miss my flowers. As soon as I plant anything the deer think I have set a feast for them to enjoy. Our yard is full of deer- We bought our home four years ago. We moved into our home in April 2004 and were amazed by the daily visits of a lovely doe that I named Princess. In a matter of weeks we became aware that Princess was expecting. In June she came into the yard followed by her twins- My husband who is a deer hunter and studies white tail deer said they were days old the first time we saw them. It turned out that the fawns were a doe and a buck, I call Bucky. In the 4 years, our backyard deer population has grown to about 13 regular ...
