A Gigantic Gananda Community Garage Sale  explodes this weekend on Saturday June 11, 2012 9a-4p and Sunday June 12 2012 9a-1pm.  Held annually for the last 29 years and sponsored by the Gananda Rotary Club, home owners in Walworth NY shed their weight in treasures to starving garage salers. Gananda community home owners pay a small fee for advertising the annual event, and all proceeds from the Gananda Rotary Club are used to support local Gananda Central School scholarships, Camp Onseyawa (serving children with special needs), the Rotary Foundation, Polio Plus, and Literacy Volunteers.  Deal catchers from around the surrounding counties swarm to the Walworth NY. The Dog Days of summer-Minus one GREAT Dog made our day not so good in Walworth NY.  Being an avid dog lover and pretty much always having one while growing up, 11 years into marriage having 2 dogs.  I could not imagine life without them, even with their idiosyncrasies. A 115lb, almost 14 year old black labrador retriever known as Beau, who would fetch till he dropped, could no longer do stairs and required full assistance to go up or down stairs.  Our four legged friend across the street of 9 years was having trouble again.   Add to this his blindness, had major rear hip issues for several years and is almost 14.
