The snow is melting not nearly as quickly as it came, but now that ski season is on its way out spring flowers are ready to pop out! We have some fun things coming up in the spring.  It may be a little too soon to jump into the Esopus and travel down on tubes with Town Tinker Tubing http://www.towntinker.com/but the hiking trails have started to shed their slippery sheath so a good winding may be in order. After a very long meeting last night there was public speaking on the Woodstock Farm Festival that is supposed to start this spring. While there were many there who are supported the market there were a few that oppose the market completely. It was however passed for one year 18 Wednesday pending approval. 03/12/2008

My first blog I decided to talk about something I feel really great about and proud to be on the Board of Directors of. Woodstock's very own farmers market  The Woodstock Farm Festival is a farmers' market and so much more! This event will feature a farmers' market, an outdoor dining area where local chefs will prepare ready-to-eat meals featuring local produce, a music stage and a section for local merchants to set up shop. Special events will be featured all season long. Be there  Wednesdays from 4:00pm - 8:00pm beginning on May 28th and running through September 24th, 2008. I know every Wednesday my dinner will be outdoors with my neighbors. Who doesn't know about Woodstock? A single concert event that occurred nearly 40 years ago still burns bright in people's memories.
