Anyone who really knows me knows that summer is my favorite season and my favorite activity is watching my daughter play softball at "The Fields" in Broadview Heights. For the past five years, at the end of the season we play a mother-daughter game followed by the wrap up party. The Moms are starting to lose the games.... Monday night was their first game. The weatherman had been talking rain, but when it came to game time, it was sun and blue skies, quite windy, but a great night for softball. Our team started out great and within minutes bases were loaded. My daughter Erin walks up to the plate and hits a grand slam!!! Mark your calendars for the Memorial Day Parade in Broadview Heights Ohio (Monday, May 25th) beginning at 9:00 a.m at  The Crossings shopping center, just north of Rte 82. The parade will proceed south on Broadview Rd. to the Broadview Center where there will be a memorial service, a tribute to our veterans, and refreshments! This is always a great time for our residents and a wonderful reminder to never forget those who have served our country so bravely in the past and to remember in our prayers those men and women who continue to fight for our freedom.May God Bless America!
