Canton, OH Real Estate News

By Doug Gialluca, Licensed Home Inspector along with Radon and Pest
(Smart Move Home Inspection LLC)
The home owner told me that the electrical panel was new. Yes it was new and loose on the wall. There was also a end table and lamp in front of it. I am not suppose to move anything so I did ask the home owner if she could move the table. This may have been why. The new owners could have had some serious issues ( life threatening). Inspectors must remove the electrical panel cover, however this could have been my last one. Look closely to the upper left corner of this panel ! Do you think that home buyers need a home Inspection? This is one reason why!  There was more concerns evident here, There is visible here a splice in the main service wire tapped leaning against the cover. There is also over trimmed and undersized wires connected to the main breaker. The Main breaker is questi...

The rates are becoming the best in recent history!  This is good news to us Realtors who are trying to get buyers to make  a move!  With home prices down ,as well as interest rates, what are we waiting for?  We need to create the urgency to get buyers up and ready to take action.  I just e-mailed 30 plus buyers the great news!  With the market the way it is, I could think of nothing better than home ownership.

As I said in a previous blog, Canton, Ohio is being turned around again as a place for dining, entertainment and business.  The city has been going through some major transformations.  Coon Restoration & Sealants, Inc. has restored and made new again several buildings in Canton. They're now working on the Onesto Hotel and I can't wait to see the finished product!  I love the fact that old buildings can breath new life!  The Mayor should be given much credit for her ongoing pursuit of bringing Canton back!  I wonder if anyone out there have similar hometown stories?  A link to my own hometown dining and recreation plug:  http://www.helpmemark.com/recreation--dining.asp

From: http://www.helpmemark.com/hmm-blog.asp         Great to see downtown Canton come alive!  We're going to a restaurant called Iris's this Saturday with a live band and great food.  Times have changed and so has Canton.  I think over the years to come, people will grow tired of the chain restaurants in Belden Village and head to downtown. http://www.cantondevelopmentpartnership.com/events/SeptMap.pdf

Hello Rainers... I thought for all of you out there I would post this for your information. For the REALTORS out there, I don't know how much you may be keeping up with all that is going on in not only the subprime mortgage industry but also with the conforming lenders...  There is a huge shakeup going on across the board and it will not only affect us in the mortgage industry but it will also affect how REALTORS are able to business too. Not wanting to be a pessimist, but rather a realist...It sounds like things are going to be shaky for awhile until all the dust settles...From what I am hearing right now....many lenders have pulled their 100% financing programs, they have pulled their Stated income programs, they are limiting the Loan To Value to 90 - 95%, they are cutting back on the ...
