Cleveland, OH Real Estate News

What makes Cleveland so great? Why do "Clevelanders" choose to not only stay in the city and never move - but always come back for more? As a lifelong "Clevelander" and real estate agent who knows the city like the back of his hand - I can attest to the greatness of Cleveland and know that it is truly our "little known secret."Cleveland not only has some of the most affordable homes in the country - but it's forward thinking, sports fanatic residents know that it a treasure that the rest of the country ignores. Cleveland is full of culture and grit that you just won't find in most midwest cities...It's what continues to bring residents back after their time living in the bigger cities of America.

(Jumbo Loan Center)
The housing market has continued to show signs of improvement in Ohio. As a result, select mortgage companies are starting to loosen mortgage qualifying requirements and allowing for lower down payments on Jumbo loans.  A Jumbo loan is a loan amount that exceeds the conforming loan limits of $484,350. Some high-cost locations in OR can exceed this limit, but most of the country is at $484,350.Down payment requirements for non-conforming Jumbo are generally always higher, until now. Jumbo loans all the way up to 95% loan to value are now available to approved buyers in Cleveland and throughout Ohio.  Additionally, existing homeowners that want to refinance can also benefit from the higher loan to values. Here is a listing of the latest jumbo qualifying criteria: This applies to both Jumb...

Millennials and how they choose to spend their money. Those born between 1978 and 2000. ****************** Status symbols are not important to millennials.  What they achieve is far more important to them than what they purchase.  Brand names mean nothing. Time over money will win out every time.  Millennials are not the type to be the first one in the office in the morning and the last to leave at night.  Does that mean less buying power?  What will guide the millennials purchase decisions?  Social, environmental and ethical values perhaps.  Will they rent rather than buy? Purchase name brand, quality furniture? Time will tell I guess. Adjectives aren't going to entice the millenials to purchase. They are quite savvy when it comes to marketing.....so think twice and then think again.  L...

If you want a shot at being "Star Of The Week", weigh in first. I'm not sure whether I was accurate when I weighed in two weeks ago. Shortly, I'm heading out to pick up some friends and we're heading downtown to have lunch and attend the Indians Opener against the Yankees! Game one of a four game series! Go Tribe!

Cleveland with Global Accent   Cities with international flavor prosper and rock. You know that feeling, don’t you? Multilingual crowds, cool events, multicultural communities, buzz in the media, all which bring energy and drive and make people wish to come back again and again, and to bring new businesses, and to invest in Real Estate. Is Cleveland so international? Is it international at all? There are controversial opinions. Some people say Cleveland is almost xenophobic, others praise its openness and multicultural character, rich history and globally recognized world class institutions like Cleveland Orchestra and Cleveland Clinic. Both are somehow right. Does it matter for Real Estate professionals? Yes, it does if we need more international buyers on our market. We have well ed...
