It's been about 8 years since I moved to this great little community in the Northwest part of Ohio, and I have to say that it really does live up to it's billing.  The motto for Defiance, Ohio is "Defiance, A Great Place To Live" and it truly is.  There is so much opportunity here.  We are in the throws of all kinds of new construction and development that the landscaping here is changing all the time.  The new expanded 24 Highway will be such a blessing as it will definitely shorten the time it takes to get from here to either Fort Wayne or Toledo.  Neither of which are really all that far away, but because of the roads it takes some time to get there.   The history of this town is something that I had no idea of when I moved here.  I am constantly learning new things about this quaint... 02/22/2008

It was a great day for Defiance Ohio last Sunday as Sam Hornish Jr. raced in his first Nascar Daytona 500.  I was so excited to watch him throughout the race.  He seemed to have a fast car, but his pit crew seemed to let him down several times throughout the race.  I noticed that at one time he had worked his way up to 5th place only to drop several spots by the time he left the pit.  That was the reoccuring theme for him this week, but overall it was a good day as he finished 15th and barely missed being swept up in at least one crash.  I'm sure his nerves were just about shot.  I'm proud to have him represent this great little town and I'm looking forward to watching him in the next race. 02/22/2008
