There is so much more to do and see at the Geneva Public Library... Today we had to go to the library with mommy she had home work to do. So me and daddy went along for the ride. And we found all kinds of fun things at the library. They have a big tree you can climb in and some mirrors to make you look funny and games to play. They even have the very first traffic light that was put up in Geneva there on display. There are lots of computers and toys and people to help you. And they even have books too. As the winter is sneaking up on us Geneva on the Lake is slowing down the outside activity's are closing up for the winter on the strip. The streets during the day will be less busy and the locals will be back to normal life in a small town. But guess what!!!! Now is the time to visit us there is still plenty to do in the Geneva area. We have Wineriers , Lodging , Nightclubs , Restaurants , Fishing , and State Parks.... Yes State Parks Did I mention they are free.... Well the NASCAR racing season is over but we still have the awards banquet coming up December 4th in Las Vegas. And Jimmy Johnson will be crowned the Cup Series champion for the 4th straight year. Thats all good. But at the end of the race tonight I found out that Rick Hendrick was not at the race. I thought that was kind of odd seeing as his team was going to win the championship no matter who won the race it was going to be Jimmy Johnson or Mark Martin and Jeff Gordon was going to be 3rd or 4th depending on how he did tonight....He ended up 3rd.... So Rick Hendrick not being at the track for this historic date in his company was kind of odd. His drivers finished 1st 2nd and 3rd in NASCAR standings and Jimmy won his 4th straight title... This is a little lesson I learned last year that I thought I would pass on to you. Last year I had tenants that were late on the rent. Being the nice guy that I am I would give them some time to catch up. (This is important it is just the 2 of them they both work full time and no kids...)  Well when I didn't hear from them or get any rent payments in the mail. I went knocking on the door...... I'm not one to go off the wall without good reason....I am laid back kind of guy, But they answered the door invited me in and told me they just didn't have the rent. Ok I asked what are we going to do about this? This was the middle of December So they were about two weeks late. Things I have learned from my 4 year old.....A day in the life of Matthew. There is no such thing as child-proofing your house. So don't even waist your time.  A 4 years-old's voice is louder than 100 adults in a crowded restaurant.   Play Dough and Microwave should never be used in the same sentence. Soccerballs make marks on ceilings and walls You should not throw baseballs up when the ceiling fan is on. When using the ceiling fan as a bat you have to throw the ball up a few times before you get a hit. A ceiling fan can hit a baseball a long way. The glass in windows (even double pane) doesn't stop a baseball hit by a ceiling fan. When you hear the toilet flush and the words "Uh-oh;" it's already too late. Toilet bowl cleaner mixed with Clorox makes smoke, and lots of it. A 4 year old... 11/20/2009

Ok most of you know I am a big racing fan NASCAR, Off-Road Rally, Indy, Formula 1, If it has a motor and they are racing I am there....Well just about everybody knows about  Indianapolis Motor Speedway if you don't click on the link.... You know your driving down the freeway and some crazy (person) goes flying by you like you are standing still and what do you say.....Hey buddy what do you think this is the Indianapolis 500? or you may say something I don't think I will write here.....but you know what it is... Anyway this is about what almost didn't happen ...Back during WW2 when we were fighting the Axis powers The Raceway was pretty much shut down ..Hey we were at WAR a big one...So the race track was not taken care of. In 1983 I went to Washington DC with my classmates to see the sites. It was one of the best field trips I was ever on. We went to a lot of places that week. and did a lot of things... Looking back now when you are 13-14 years old some things just don't mean as much as when your older. I remember going to see the  Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the only thing I remember about that was saying at "least my dads name isn't on there" then thinking wow someones dad's name is on there. I took some photos of it and that was it. Now that I am older...just a little older...I have a great appreciation for that memorial...I am still thankful my dad is not on it. Yes this is a tribute to my family that have served their country in war and peace time. the list goes back to WW1.....I am also happy to say we have never lost a family member that I know of in war time and we have had family memebers in just about every one of them... From the war that was to end all wars to the present day fighting going on now...
