Mason Kroger on SR741 Opens Gas Station Most area Kroger grocery stores have had a gas station in their parking lot for quite some time, but not the SR741 Kroger!  There's been plenty of construction in their parking lot the last few weeks, but not yet ready for prime time! Now if you wanted to take advantage of their gas discount program, you could use the Exit 25 Shell and scan your card (or if the mag strip is worn off like mine, you have to type in your membership number) to collect that discount of up to $1/gallon.  Well tonight when stopping by to drop off a Redbox rental, the lights were on and the pumps were occupied!  Gas (without discount) was priced similarly to the BP, Speedway and Shell stations right at I-71.  We hope you enjoy the convenience! Serving Warren County's resi...

Kings Island Movie Theater Closes the Doors! Last night we drove by the Kings Island movie theater and thought it odd the movie listing billboard was empty.  Since it was Thursday night we just assumed that they were getting ready to put up the Friday schedules.  This same theater used to be Showcase Cinemas until Rave bought them a couple of years ago. We'd been noticing the decline at the theater for some time.  The parking lot rarely had large crowds, and we'd personally started going to the Regal Cinema in Mason.  Stadium seating, better chairs, snacks and overall quality experience improvement.  Obviously we'd had a lot of company in our alternative theater choice. Reading the Cincinnati Enquirer today it turns out that last night was the finale for that location to show movies.  W...

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!!!  Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Performing Handel's Messiah December 17 2011 I think I could successfully argue that the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah might be one of the most recognized pieces of music in the Christian world!  If you're a Believer, you can't hear that music and NOT be moved!  But most of us probably haven't heard it performed in person, so here's a chance to correct that! This Saturday December 17th at 7:30 p.m. our church (Christ's Church at Mason) is hosting the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the May Festival Chorus in a shortened, family-friendly version of Handel's Messiah!  Christ's Church at Mason is located on the southwest corner intersection of Western Row and Mason Montgomery Rd in Mason.  You can enter from ...

Paying It Forward:  Sponsoring Care Facilities Harvest Day Today our church (Christ's Church at Mason) offered us another opportunity to Pay It Forward.  Thursday November 10th at noon they're hosting a Harvest Day for area Senior Adults residing in local area Nursing Care Centers and Assisted Care Centers.  The section of our church that takes care of this event is called Evergreen (a pretty cool name for a seniors group don't you think?). So what's involved?  Church members provide transportation to bring these seniors to our church for a hot cooked meal and this year the program includes music by the Mason High School Choir.  Now church members can participate by either volunteering for the event, or by contributing funds to offset the cost of transportation and meals.   $10 is enoug...

Maybe You Missed It Too:  Mason's Sichaun Bistro A USA Top 100 Chinese Restaurant Winner! We like to think we do a pretty good job of keeping up with our service area, but it's a broad area and we DO miss things (that aren't real estate related!).  We won't cover every event, and we don't know every restaurant in Warren County (and there ARE a lot of them to choose from!) And we're always on the lookout for something new and great to try, so Saturday afternoon when some new clients mentioned a GREAT Chinese restaurant around the corner named Sichuan Bistro, our plans for dinner shifted from Aponte's Pizza (sorry Tony!) to Chinese.  And the funny thing is we drive by the place all the time, but just assumed it was your typical strip mall Chinese place.  BIG MISTAKE! Before ordering, we d...
