Toledo Real Estate Market Continues Slow with average sales price and volume continuing below one year ago. An a national level, things are getting better - with RISMEDIA and NAR reporting sales voume in total units sold up 3.6 % overall. ... at least it seemed that way last night. It never ceases to amaze me that I can remember every minute detail of my transactions, but can't seem to remember anything regarding my personal life. Last night was the icing on the cake. I drove to the Chinese Restaurant down the street to pick up our carry-out dinner. It was rather late, but my brain really should have still been functioning, especially since I had been negotiating an offer only moments before. I remembered where the restaurant was, managed to give out the right amount of money, and even remembered to be polite and tell the cashier to have a nice weekend. That's where all normalcy ended. You would think when I finally take an entire day off that I might spend it basking in the sunshine, or shopping, or perhaps even napping. First of all, I simply do not bask in the sunshine unless there is a boat, a pool, or an ocean nearby - and alas, there were none of those things nearby today. As for shopping, I am simply not budgeted for shopping at the moment ... but I will be SOON. As for napping, I really find it hard to nap as of late. Too much happening and too much going on and on and on in my head. So, what did I do on my day off? Refinished the hardwood floors in the living room, dining room, and hallway. Whipped my butt, I can tell you that much. Then made homemade crabcakes, sauteed mushrooms and heirloom cherry tomatoes of multiple colors and risotto. Heavenly for sure. ... 07/04/2009
