The Real Living HER Worthington office is moving to Old Worthington. A comment on my photo on Flickr from Don O'Brien tell's what the Old Worthington building's were when he was a child roaming the streets of Worthington with a camera.   "I think the store on the right was once Sargent's, a variety store. The white building was Corbins Funeral Home. Sam and his wife, Cornelia?, lived on the second floor. The next building on the left was Birnie's Drug Store." Corbin Funeral Home? Of course, Rutherford Corbin is one of two funeral homes in Worthington in 2011. Blue skies and the Worthington Green...  Happy Easter 2011! The photo is NOT from this year... the photo is looking at the Worthington Presbyterian Church across the Village Green in 2009...  Easter was in early April 2009... the trees are more leafed out this year since Easter was so late but there are no beautiful blue skies today, or Saturday, or Friday.   I can't remember before that if we were having rain... I think it has been raining all week. I went to the Worthington Good Friday Community Service on the Village Green on Friday but it was moved inside this year because of rain earlier in the day on Friday... this inside picture is 2011.  I had walked in once last year or the year before to see what the inside of the Worthington Presbyterian Church looked but I had never been in... 04/24/2011

The Mystery of the Missing Cornerstone The cornerstone of the Flint School disappeared in March 2011 according to the  Worthington Suburban News, (SNP.) Flint School is gone.  The Flint School sat there at the corner of Park and Flint Roads from the 1920s until a few weeks ago.  The school had NOT been used since the 1960s.  I believe since 1963.  On a site called 'Forgotten Ohio on the page about Flint' it says of the Flint School building "The small school building where Flint's children attended class is still standing, neatly boarded up, in a park at the corner of Park Street and Flint Road." Worthington Square Mall, the focus of a reviatlization effort, will get a boost late this year when Insight Bank opens its headquarters and a branch office in two of the mall's outlying buildings. The owners of the mall are in contract to sell two of the 40-year ols property's buildings to Insight Bank, which currently has its headquarters in leased space in the Polaris area, 5 minutes north of its prospective location. Ingisht will occupty the two-story, 11,000 square foot office building just west of Worthington Square and plans to open a consumer banking office in the adjacent 5,500 square foot former Dalt's restaurant.
