Vincent Lamberti was born in Meriden, Connecticut back in circa 1927-28.  He was so advanced academically that he taught his high school physics class when the teacher was absent. He won a scholarship to Yale University.  He earned his undergraduate degree in 1947 and a doctorate in organic chemistry in 1951.After graduation in 1949, he joined Lever Brothers, he spent the remainder of his career with the company.  He worked there for 40 years, before his retirement.  He was the patent coordinator and manager of organic chemistry.  During his career he accumulated a total of 118 granted patents.  He also wrote over 2,000 patents for other inventors all over the world.  He died in 2014 from congestive heart failure, he was 86.What you may not know about Vincent is that he is best known as... 03/28/2021

Nathan Cooley Keep was born in Longmeadow, Massachusetts back in 1880.  In 1821, he moved to Boston graduating from the Harvard Medical School with an M.D. in 1827.  After graduation, he practiced dentistry for 40 years.  In 1843, he was awarded an honorary D.D.S. by the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery.He invented and manufactured many dental tools, he is also credited with being one of the first to manufacture porcelain teeth.  Also, he kept his medical office operating at the same time. He was the first to use anesthesia for childbirth.  He administered ether to Fanny Longfellow, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s wife.  In 1850, he was a critical participant in the Parkman murder trial.  It was the first time that dental work was introduced as forensic evidence.  What you may not know ... 01/16/2021
