Historic White City in midtown Tulsa The White City Historic District is located four miles east of Tulsa's Central Business District and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 14, 2001. The area is known for two main architectural styles: Tudor Revival and Minimal Traditional style. Tudor revival homes are generally constructed of brick, have a steep pitched roof with a façade dominated by one or more cross gables. Garages are typically detached from the home and possess a similar style. The Minimal Traditional style was built following the Tudor revival homes and were simplified by a low or intermediate pitched roof and minimal decorative detailing.
