Rainy Day Wine tasting at Apolloni Vineyards Other than sitting home by a fire and reading a good book with a nice glass of vino, going to the actual vineyard and having a picnic with a girlfriend is a GREAT (other) way of spending a rainy January day in Oregon!  My friend Cheryl and I are club members at Apolloni Vineyards, in Forest Grove--the Willamette Valley-- and we had several we needed to pick up for our quarterly collection.  Here is the selection for this quarter: There were four in the collection, the only extra one being the first one on the left that I picked up, a 2011 Estate Pinot Noir that was one of the tastings today. David Hill Winery This winery is tucked in the hills outside of Forest Grove, Oregon. Lush wines and a perfect setting for a picnic. Gosh we had a great time June 11th! I had lots of opportunities for photos.     This is just one of them as we ended our time there and headed home to Fishhawk Lake.
