This wonderful beach community is located between Gleneden Beach and the south end of Lincoln City in the Lincoln County area of the Central Oregon Coast. The first photo is the entrance to Taft Historic District, the second shows the beach area just beyond the district where you can have a beach bonfire, go crabbing and clamming, watch the seals and wildlife. Today I bring you a photo of the Siletz Bay, located at the Historic Taft District. Taft is at the south end of Lincoln City. To the left of this spot is Mo's Restaurant, famous for great clam chowder and other delectable seafood entrees. If you want to get an ice cream, go across the street to Eleanor's Undertow, a favorite with kids as they have fun games such as pinball and air hockey. I often stop in Taft during my real estate appointments to enjoy a 20 minute vacation with my lunch. On a day like this, many people like to collect piles of wood for a beach bonfire in the evening. Driftwood on the beach is plentiful, it has a distinct aroma of summer fun.
