It's Getting To Be That Time Of Year! In our family, another sign that spring has truly arrived is that our boys camp out, something they'll do a great deal of the summer. True, it's only in our yard, but a tent among the trees is far more interesting to a 10 and 12-year-old than a boring old bedroom. Saturday ended up being surprisingly dry and warm so the tent was up and ready by late afternoon. Of course, the weather forecast still called for the temperature to drop to close to freezing during the night. But we figured they'd come in before they froze to death. Plus they slept in coats and warm sleeping bags. Most folks who visit Hood River County to camp use actual campgrounds, but our yard requires far less packing and hauling and the bathrooms are a short walk away.
