After last year when we saw almost 50 homes in Old Forge sell this year has seen a marked reduction in sales. This year to date there are 3 homes for sale, two 1 bedroom units and a single 2 bedroom townhome. One home is pending and there have been 16 homes that have settled. Prices seem to have stabilised as well. Probably these two things are related, with less competition prices are not under so much pressure. On the other hand they also have not risen with less on the market. For more market information please go to Old Forge Crossing                      Again, price depends so much on condition and what each owner has done with their home. If the bathrooms and kitchen have been updated with newer appliances, you have newer windows and maybe even have replaced your heater and a/c u...

Over a 110 years old the Devon Horse Show established in 1896 is the largest and oldest multi breed outdoor show, if you want get the whole history. Basically it was started by some of the welathy families in the area located along the famous Philadelphia Main Line close to Devon train station at what was then the Devon Race Track & Polo Grounds. You won't go hungry as there are plenty of booths willing to serve you just what you need. There are also plenty of shops taking the opportunity to sell horse related wares as well as other items which might appeal ...

Getting your Tredyffrin Easttown home ready for an Open HouseWhether the market for selling is hot or cold you need to prepare your Tredyffrin Easttown home correctly to sell it fast.  These 17 tips from Realtor Magazine might help.  17 Steps to Prepare your Tredyffrin Easttown home for an Open House 1. Hire a cleaning service. A spotlessly clean home is essential; dirt will turn off a prospect faster than anything. 2. Pay attention to the outdoors. 10 Things to Take the Trauma Out of Homebuying in Tredyffrin Easttown1. Find a real estate agent that's simpatico, like us. Homebuying is not only a big financial commitment, but also an emotional one. It's critical that the agent you chose is both skilled and a good fit with your personality.2. Remember, there's no "right" time to buy, any more than there's a right time to sell. If you find a home now, don't try to second-guess the interest rates or the housing market by waiting. Changes don't usually occur fast enough to make that much difference in price, and a good home won't stay on the market long.3. Don't ask for too many opinions. It's natural to want reassurance for such a big decision, but too many ideas will make it much harder to make a decision.4. Accept that no house is ev...

Full Service with Variable Commission in Tredyffrin Easttown This week we left Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors and began a new adventure with Long & Foster Real Estate Inc. in Devon.  Why change companies you may ask?  Good question. The answer is each company has their own way of doing business. Some brokerages are very rigid, others are more flexible. As a Realtor you are running your own business and to be told by a brokerage you can or cannot do this or that is frustrating. Having had my own business for a long time, I know I am an entrepreneur. This move allows me to meet the needs of Tredyffrin Easttown home owners, provide great service and outstanding value. SAVE THOUSANDS Long & Foster Real Estate Inc allows us flexibility to offer Tredyffrin Easttown home owners full service, ...
