I just wanted to share that I finished my first 5k run Friday at Teri's Run for Scleroderma in Downingtown.   The event was well attended and even featured a visit from the Phillie Phanatic which the kids and adults alike enjoyed.....and the hard working volunteer for the event, Nancy McFalls!     Another great job by the Teri's Run board and especially the Valocchi Family who are Downingtown through and through.   It was part of a great 18th anniversary weekend w/my best friend, Beverly.       09/08/2014

Thursday thrills, Congrats to Allyson and Brett!!!!!   I wanted to share some outstanding news the family just received about two wonderful young adults.   I written earlier this month about our nephew David and his marriage to Ashley on November 3rd and how the family shared in this event to start their married lives.   Just the other day another nephew Brett, same age as David and the two of them are so very close, stopped by our house with his longtime girlfriend Allyson. This Friday and Saturday at Saint Joseph Church in Downingtown our Pre-Cana classes will be held for all those young couple wishing to marry in the Catholic Faith next year. Our classes are always full and this one will be no different. Friday evening is an introduction to the weekends schedule and a social hour to afford the young couple to meet with and informally ask question to their Pre-Cana sponsors. Saturday is a day full of different sessions intended to cover many of the topics that all couples, old and young, encounter during a long life together. Beverly and I are once again happy to be part of this process and certainly enjoy working with the couples.
