Starting off the beautiful Monday morning is a great way to get the blood moving here in Downingtown, PA.....the heart of Chester County and a place of growth, change and historic beauty. I must admit that I have been slacking a bit lately.  My three days a week of racquetball has slid to 1 maybe 2  lately beacuse of work and scheduling...ok my lack of energy.....no one else to blame but me. You know when something just feels right......when the timing is just so that you can no longer resisit moving forward. About a month and a half ago I met up with a friend I have known now going on 10 years.  We see one another at our kids baseball and soccer games when they were younger......at Church most Sunday's and at local events.  I saw John at my last agency the day I was stopping by to resign to move to Keller Williams.  I was surprised to see him there as he lives near me, and one of the biggest reason's for leaving for me was that the office was to far for a daily office environment.  He informed me that he just joined the office there and was surprised I was leaving.  I wished him well and told him if I could be of any assistance that he was not to hesitate to call me.  He d... 04/22/2008

I just wanted to share with you that the Downingtown West High School will be having this year's play (Beauty and the Beast) starting Thursday April 3rd and running through Sunday April 6th 2008.......starting at 7:30 pm the 3rd - 5th and at 2:30 pm on Sunday the 6th. The play's here have been very special to me as my son Kevin has participated in all the play's since middle school and this will be his final school play.  This year he has the honor to be Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast, and knowing this very talented group of students as well as their play and music director, Matt McCloskey who continues to be a very talented leader for these young adults....the performance will once again leave us wanting more shows.  I wish them all well and as they say in the business....Break a Le... 03/01/2008

The Lionville YMCA is having its second annual Trivia Night....and let me tell you last year's was a hoot!!!!! The format is teams that are set around tables competing (for fun of course) enjoying good food and drink....many brought their own and made it a fun-filled evening.  I would have gone even if I was not an Executive Board member......you will want to as well. Downingtown Area School District teachers have been on strike since January 28th.   It's finally back to school tomorrow, February 7th. The DAEA (Downingtown Area Education Association) and DASD (Downingtown Area School District) have the same messages on their website:The parties have tentatively agreed to a mediator's proposal and schoolwill resume on Thursday, Feb 7. No details will be made available untilboth sides have ratified the agreement.Of course, in any issue as this, there are two sides of the story. It's hard not to be jaded by the media reports. A friend of mine said the Daily Local News, our local newspaper, printed by name the salaries of all of the teachers in the district! Bike ? Walk ? Run ? Jog ? Fish ? Swim ?  Geocache? You just have to check out the Struble Trail in Chester County, PA!I will get some pictures to accompany this blog, but its on my mind to get the blog done tonight :)This paved trail is currently 5.2 miles total round trip with a few segments branching off in different areas.  I actually like to park at The Ponds, or back in my day, called "Kardon Park", in Downingtown.  There is a paved trail that leads to Rt 282 (Creek Rd) where you can link to the Struble Trail.  Part of the trail runs alongside the Brandywine Creek and there are even a couple of areas I've seen people fishing (artificial lure trout) and swimming.  There is even a robe to swing from located on the traill side of the Shady Acres Campground!  I'm not sure if its offici... 08/15/2007
