The New Holland Fair has been going on this week, September 27 - October 1, 2011. Friday, September 30, 2011 will be Kid's Day at the New Holland Fair. There will be balloons, magic, face painting and free hand outs. In Lancaster County, the New Holland Fair is celebrating 80 years of being in existence. This fair has a special tradition and appeals to all age groups. There is something for everyone with rides, agricultural animal shows, food, a parade and special activities for Kids. New Holland PA Fair This has been the week of the New Holland Farmers Fair. This year the fair runs from October 3 through October 6.                           The New Holland Farmers' fair has been running since the 1930s, when it was started to promote farmers' produce and goods during the Great Depression.                                                            The emphasis in the fair in earlier years was on the display of animals, flowers, and baked goods. Nowadays, most people come for the parade, which was held on the first day, October 3.  The parade features local high school marching bands from all over the area, classic automobiles, and fire company members and apparatus.
