Today, I read an article telling buyers that they should fire their Real Estate agent if they own a computer. Usually, when I read something like this, my blood pressure would increase. I would get upset and feel like I had to call someone and vent. Instead, I laughed. I thought about all the for-sale owners there were and how many ended up listing their homes with an agent.  Statistics show that 97% of for-sale by owners list their house with an agent. There was a time when I did very well working primarily with for sale by owners.   They did not feel they needed to pay an agent to help them sell a house. I am sure everyone heard of Philadelphia's mask mandate. The stores all had signs that said mask must be worn. To be honest half the people did not wear them. The other half  kind of wore them others proudly wore their masks. Let me tell you it was so confusing, especially where I live on the boarder of Philly and Bucks County . You can go to one store and be in Philadelphia and go a few miles and be in Bensalem  no masks are required with a sigh of relief.Thankfully the mask mandate is lifted. It was all so confusing. My one friend said they should call the police if they do not have a mask on. Right the police will come and arrest them for not wearing a mask. Let's look for some Steals and Deals this week. I love talking to my lady friends and retired male friends as most of them know where to shop for the best deals. That is where I found the Grocery Outlet just by speaking with friends .Well to change the subject just a little last week if you remember I talked about how happy I was with the HP laser all in one printer I purchased from Amazon well it stopped working in three days. My friend stopped over who helped me set it up . We called HP support nothing worked. Amazon is sending a printer replacement I   returned  this one to the UPS Store. Let's talk about Delaire Landing Condo community . Delaire had their first Easter Egg Hunt for the children and it was a huge success. Things are  starting to get back to normal. The gate is fixed and once again we are a gated community. Hard to believe it is April and the cold Winter is behind us. Beautiful flowers are starting to bloom Spring is in the air. Four Seasons Land Scaping is sprucing everything up and with new mulch. We are so lucky to have them here at Delaire Landing. The trees have all been cut back , many have been removed that were sick and diseased.  Trees that were along the river have been removed and now there is a much better view of the water. March madness is upon us. Not only is inflation hitting us, but so is Shrinkflation. I know you are saying what the heck is that.  Did you ever have one of those days? The ones where everything is going wrong. Maybe it is lasting more than a day. Your life is starting to feel like one of those commercials. Are you tired? Need more pep in your step. Well, that was how my days were going, but I also know winter is coming to an end. Perhaps I should enjoy some of the free time I have and relax. It is these little things that keep going wrong that are getting to me. The beautiful, unique, expensive fireplace that my audio system sits on. It was a very strange week weather wise. One day it was seventy degrees, sunny and a beautiful great day to shut the computer and take a walk by the river. I met some very nice people who knew and  purchases their condo from Dennis Kulp now deceased, but was the broker of the last company I worked for and a great friend of this very nice couple. We had a nice conversation  while watching this huge barge dredge the river. The next night it was snowing.I also had time to try this one bowl sour cream banana bread recipe. Had a great lunch this week we went to Dim Sum in Northeast Philadelphia. A few years ago I had a Real Estate Closing in Center City in the China Town section we brought up that afterward we intended to have Dim Sum. The selling agent recommended a place in NE Philly called China Gourmet  at 2842 St Vincent street 19149. She said we would love it and we did. I have been going there ever since. Delaire Landing has beautiful wildlife that we share our grounds with. The other day I saw it catch a snake and start to eat it as I was walking. It grabbed the snake and flew up into the tree to finish lunch. I often see this hawk perched and tell Cleo she is not to go outside as I am sure she would love to grab a small cat if the opportunity arose . This is a beautiful hawk I really enjoyed watching in silence

They say it is always sunny in Philadelphia well that may be  true as our dispositions are but lately seeing the soaring prices on everything it does, put a cloud on things Today, however the sun is shinning and the temperature will be above average to a warm 60 degrees . For Philly in the winter that is almost tropical. You can hear the birds singing and for a while, you forget inflation is up 7.5% and at a 40 year high. Maybe you didn't notice that bacon costs $1.38 more and if you love steak it went up  20%  as well as eggs . Gas prices are up 49.6% from last year .  Yesterday was a big day for me, I was invited to join a club at Delaire Landing that has a long waiting list . The ladies at the pool convinced me to put my name in to join one summer. I did receive a call asking me if I was still interested in joining after the New Year " I said yes " The name of the club is the Leisure Timers. They meet once a month at the Delaire Landing Clubhouse Wednesday 12PM. This month there was pizza for lunch and a Chinese Auction. There are many functions  planned dinners and shows . They have trips if you like there are so many functions. They start the meeting with a salute to the USA flag and then sing God Bless America.  Which I liked very much. Valentines Day will be here and I have been checking prices. The other day I did some of my errands  earlier in the day . I was glad I had stocked up on  my favorite coffee weeks ago as the prices were up on that too. Delaire Landing is a Gated Waterfront Community located in the Torresdale section of NE Philadelphia Pa. I recently moved from a second floor unit to a  first floor unit  with my Siamese Cat Cleo. Many people who live here will change locations for one reason or another. This says so much for a community as people seem to love it here. I know I do . We are closer to the river now also to the pool and clubhouse. Cleo loves to sit by the sliding glass doors and watch the birds, squirrels and any other animal the may go by. She also has a first hand view of people walking by and cars. Sometimes I'm surprised at how much I talk. I think I am being HelpfulHannah but it seems my enthusiasm to some may be  annoying to others . Maybe that is why I found myself talking to myself and then start laughing at myself.
