Quakertown is located in the northwest part of Bucks County, PA about 50 miles North of Philadelphia.  The Borough of Quakertown is approximately 2 square miles in size and is filled with lots of charming houses and retail stores.Quakertown was originally known as the settlement of the "Great Swamp" by the Society of Friends.  The Liberty Bell was once hidden in Quakertown for a short time while it was on its way to the Lehigh Valley.  In 1803 it became officially Quakertown and its first post office opened in 1803.  In 1820, there were approximately 12 buildings and by 1854 there were about 64. Today, of course, the town has grown immensely but has a nice mix of the past and present. A new gym has opened this month in Quakertown, PA.  It is called SnapFitness and it is open 24/7.  It is located at 238.5 South West End Blvd.   It is always nice to have new businesses open in the neighborhood.  It shows that the area is still growing, business owners have determined that it economically a good pleace to operate a business, and it is a good place to live.  I am writing about this particular business because although everyone knows that they should be doing some exercise, lot of us can not get to a gym during the hours they are open.  I am a Bucks County Real Estate agent and have a pretty full schedule most of the time, not unlike most people these days. How exciting is this? I found a home that gives me most of what I lacked in my original home. I was very excited! It needed some cosmetics, which I am very good at doing and I find it fun. I found that not be an issue. The home was nice with a nice view. How excited I was. I made the big announcement to my colleages that I am putting my home on the market and I am moving.
