The St. Patrick's Day Parade in Stroudsburg on Sunday was definately the place to be! If you have never been to Stroudsburg, Pennsylavania before, Sunday would have been a great time to be there. The streets were filled with people from all over the region celebrating St. Patricks Day in all it's glory. It was truely a glorious day, the second day of spring, seventy-five and sunny...not a cloud in the sky. Stroudsburg is located right in the heart of the Beautiful Pocono Mountains. With its quaint shops and Irish pubs it was a perfect setting for such an impressive parade. I last time I attended the parade was about eight years ago and now I am sorry I waited so long to return. There was truely something for the entire family to enjoy. From the kilts to the clowns to the classic cars we...

Stroudsburg and other parts of the Poconos, lay claim to a large percentage of Irish Americans dating back to the 1800's. Many Irish immigrants used to work on the coal mines and the railways during the era. A group of coal miners who dubbed themselves The Molly Maguires, fought back against the coal barons who were greedy and subjected the workers to deplorable conditions. Unfortunately, that story didn't have a happy ending, with the group dismantled and many members being jailed and executed. A jail in Jim Thorpe, PA that housed some of the members was featured on Unsolved Mysteries, as a handprint from a Molly proclaiming his innocence can still be seen today.  A St. Patrick's Day parade has been on going in the Poconos since 1977. The Poconos Irish American Club was founded to...

Thanks to Bob Kelly Of Keller Williams Real Estate, Stroudsburg, My family enjoyed a lovely Saturday afternoon with a brisk walk down Main Street Stroudsburg taking in all of the lovely ice sculptures on display. We were thinking of hiking it up to Scranton for their Ice festival until I saw Bob's blog about Stroudsburg Ice festival this weekend. We were already heading downtown for Mass with Cardinal Rigali at St. Lukes Parish so we left a bit early and this what we saw...                                               ~Apostle Art Home Staging & Design offers professional real estate staging services to sellers, real estate agents and investors in the Pocono Mountains Region and beyond. www.apostleart.com ~

Did you know that selling a Vacant Home is like selling A Home without a Soul? It never ceases to amaze me how I can walk into any property and see such great potential...I look around, my mind runs wild...vision upon vision of how absolutely lovely these spaces could be... this here, that there, a space for this, a space for that. Do you do that? If so , You are in the minority as only 10% of the population have the ability to visualize the full potential of a space. That means that the other 90% will only see what they see. Soooo...what does that mean for a vacant home? It means 9 out of 10 buyers will see cold, bare spaces that are uninviting and virtually lifeless...Like a home without a soul. And what's worse...the photos buyers will see online will do nothin...

The Pocono Mountains, PA is truely a magestic place to be in winter. Skiing is a given...lots of slopes to choose from, but for those who prefer a more laid back form of recreation, just taking in the crisp air and freshly fallen snow can be a wonderful experience. Natural beauty abounds here and while the weather can be harsh, there is plenty of wildlife brave enough to tough it out ... and if you sit still long enough, you just might catch a glimpse.                                                                                                             ~Apostle Art Home Staging & Design offers professional real estate staging services to sellers, real estate agents and investors in the Pocono Mountains Region and beyond. www.apostleart.com ~

I was coming back to the office after showing houses all day Saturday in the Poconos. I've said it before, I love our Main Street in Stroudsburg, and I'm lucky enough to have my office right there! As I drove up Main Street, looking at the store fronts and the white-lights wrapped around the trees, I looked ahead and just stared at the beautiful colors the sunset was drawing in the sky.  I had to take a picture and share it. Just add this to my list of reasons why I love Main Street, Stroudsburg!

By request, here are some more photos of the Hexagon house that sold in 8 days!  By the way, I forgot to mention in the initial post that this home sold for almost FULL ASKING price...(just $1000 under list) Homes that are unusual can often be a hard sell as buyers think resale. While this home was cute, it had pie shaped rooms that were quite small. Apparently the home had been on the market previously without much interest. Apostle Art staged and the rest is history! See new photos below...                                                             This was your view upon entering...odd shapes aside...another bland vacant.                                You can kind of see the angles in the dining room...even more awkward in person.             In the shot below, you can see how I ha...

OK real estate agents... Why should I hire you? As a professional stager, and a real estate investor I know the importance of having the best agent out there when selling your home. I see the frustration of so many of my clients who are not getting the attention they so desperately need to sell their homes in this challenging market. So many of them are ready to drop their current agent (that is if their contract is expired) and find someone who is really willing to work for them.   I believe it is important to interview several agents to compare how they propose to market your property and to see if their personality and manor mesh with yours. I am told however, that most sellers end up going with the first agent they meet with. SOOOOO....what do you think are the top 5 questions a se...
