Impossible or I'm Possible? You choose! One of the things I do is chair and manage an antiques fair for a local charity Surrey Services for Seniors in November, The Main Line Antiques Show, November 15 & 16 2014, this year to be held at Cabrini College in the Dixon Center. I have lots of connections having been an antiques dealer and know what both consumers and dealers are looking for and hoping to achieve with an antiques fair. The whole point for the local charity is they are trying to raise funds. Last year we raised just over $130,000. I largely work with a volunteer committee and to raise the funds we need the committee to reach out and make some advertising sales and obtain sponsorships. About this time of year, we are in our last push to reach our goal as we need to print the sh...

Home Prices in Villanova PA for May 2013 Real estate market data for Villanova, PA is provided by David Brandschain of Keller Williams Main Line Realty Villanova Home Prices We have seen listing prices fluctuate over the last 12 months, as, we examine home prices in Villanova PA.  We expect prices to continue to decline or remain flat in 2013, even though, the overall economy continues to improve.  If you are considering buying a home, now would be a good time.  Most of Villanova’s housing stock is high priced and the high-end continues to be a “buyers market”. The best strategy is to pursue distressed sales such as foreclosures and short sales, as, market sellers can afford to turn down “low-ball” offers. The key for buyers is to work with agents that are experienced negotiators.  When...

The Main Line Antiques Show kicks off this weekend on the 12th and 13th November at the Radnor Valley Country Club in Villanova with the opening night preview party tomorrow evening 11/11/11, hopefully an auspicious date. Last year, the opening night was a major success, I can be seen below with Presenting Sponsor Steve and Kathy Bajus at the Preview Party in the booth of Port N'Starboard one of our exhibitors who returned this year. We have had some great publicity with one of our dealers Sue Stone of Eve Stone Antiques on the 10 Show with some of her exhibits yesterday.  The show has a wonderful lecture series associated with it, the theme this year being the Mansions of the Main Line with three lectures over Saturday and Sunday. Admission of $12 to the show also allows access to the ...

The Main Line Antiques Show 2010 raised a record amount of funds for the beneficiary Surrey Services for Seniors. As chair of the show I am in the picture above with Steve & Kathy Bajus, major sponsors at the preview party in the booth of Port 'n Starboard a new exhibitor for this year. In every way the show shone, with many new exhibitors, new visitors, a new location at Radnor Valley Country Club and great feedback from dealers and visitors alike. The layout of the booths throughout the country club set off the club and also allowed the antiques and art being displayed to stand out magnificently. We had a record number of visitors to the show this year, with the lecture series on Visiting the Main Line - Railroad Ties being a major success with standing room only at both events on th...

March Madness begins in November as the NCAA Men's Basketball season gets underway.  A gem of Southeastern PA is the Villanova Wildcats, ranked #6 nationally.  Coached by Jay Wright, the Wildcats are always fun to watch!  This is Big East basketball at its best! Due to the popularity of the Wildcats, more games are being played at the Wells Fargo Center (previously called the Wachovia Center) in Philadelphia, but we still think the best place is at the Pavillion right on campus. ~Lisa                                                                           Contact Scott Loper, Associate Broker, Realtor®, RE/MAX Realty Group at 215-513-1333 for help buying or selling a home in Lansdale, Harleysville, Hatfield, Souderton, Skippack, Collegeville, North Wales and the surrounding areas of M...

Traveling from the 69th Street Terminal to Norristown, the SEPTA Route 100 High Speed Line passes much of the Main Line. This is a brief overview of the Villanova PA SEPTA Station. This station is conveniently located just south of Lancaster Avenue across from the main section of the Villanova campus. It provides easy access by foot or automobile to much of the campus. The next stop to the east is the Stadium stop and is the preferred station for sporting events. The station also has parking available on both sides of the track and provides plenty of additional space for dropping off or picking up passengers. To the south of the tracks is a nice residential area of mostly single family homes. This is a very expensive area with the most expensive current listing in Delaware County locate...
