When a Picture is worth more than a thousand words.  Yes, on a private road this waterfront Narragansett home for sale sits serenely unoccupied for the last 8 years!  It seems that another Ponzi like schemer on a smaller scale than Bernie Madoff was having the time of his life here too.  While he built 2 waterfront Narragansett RI homes, he bamboozled his financial victims out of about $1.4 billion. This scoundrel with a residence in Florida (his residence there was 9200 square feet in Fort Lauderdale) had this Narragansett property seized, along with others, by the U.S. government and put up for sale.  There is far more to this story that may later be revealed.  Would not want to speculate further until I am sure the house is ruled out as a possibility by my clients. Penguin Plunge – New Years Day - Narragansett RI Real Estate is Amazing.  Balmy oceanfront Narragansett RI was the scene for a fantastic fundraiser for Special Olympics at Roger Wheeler State Beach in the village of Galilee this New Year’s Day 2012.  Time of the big penguin splash for participants was Noon time.  Now I have supported and been an annual voyeur at these events year after year.  BUT yesterday I have never seen the number of people like there were on the beach or lined up trying to get into the parking lot from over a mile and a half down the road! Can't Buy It - It’s Narragansett Pier – This is Narragansett RI Real Estate. Narragansett RI beach - Stinky Beach- Best in Waves!  Let's go to stinky beach today and body surf with the best waves around.  That was the call of the wild when we were in college and wanted a private Narragansett RI beach without prying eyes where we could roam with our boyfriends.  Unfortunately, the name 'stinky beach' was a local term because of the way the coastline formed a boomerang shape and the ocean seaweed seemed to end up here...yes, on many a day a smattering of red, yellow, orange and green seaweed would be awash on this pristine white sand beach.  Nonetheless it was the privacy and seemingly breathtaking piece of beach to be on that made it so special. Are You Looking to Buy a Home in Narragansett RI?   OMG...It is the Orange stickers again in Narragansett RI and why would this be of concern to a buyer looking for a Narragansett primary residence or an investment home?  Well these 'orange stickers' placed on homes by the police are the Scarlet Letter 'A' (orange letter 'A') which denotes the home is an active party home.  It means the home occupants have violated town ordinances and the owner has been probably levied a fine.
